Cute crime sim 2, even fucking crazier and with much better gameplay. 11/10.

AMAZING SEQUAL TO THE FIRST GAME! Was happy to pick it up during summer sale. Already put a couple hours in as of 7/4/25. The jokes are amazing, music is great. Def seems longer then the first. Combat is fun! Only issue I run into is Turnip Boy has this weird stutter but it could be just on my end.

Goofy roguelike with a sense of humor that reminds me of playing flash games online back in the 00s growing up. I loved the first game so much that I immediately snapped this one up, love the sense of urgency that the timer gives without immediately punishing you for lagging. Manages to have a lot of silly options while still allowing you to just use a gun.

I would still recommend this game, however, I like the first part more. It's still turnip boy and god knows what silly adventure but with some extra actions. I lost count how many times I gotta pause mid game just do multiasking but overall, still worth it!

These series are great, they're short and have some goofy plots. This story does a reference to the Tax evasion title, nothing ground breaking or spoilers, but will recommend play that first since most of the characters have a recurring appearance. Controls are simple and responsive, the story is wacky & funny. Great game overall.

100% it blind in about 7 hours.
If you've enjoyed the original Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, I'd say you'll enjoy this little gem. That being said, I do believe it falls short of the predecessor (then again, sequels rarely outshine the blueprint) and I would've liked some more world-building. Overall, I'd rate it a 3/5 experience and look forward to seeing what the studio moves onto next :)

The sequel to Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. This game changes the genre from puzzle adventure rpg to a roguelite. I personally don’t mind the change, and applaud the risk taken as it allows the sequel to be its own game—distinct from the first. I do understand people’s criticisms on this genre change, but I personally like it.
The humour and external references were just as abundant in this game, with plenty of callbacks to the first one which I absolutely loved. TURNIP-CHAN MAKES A RETURN!!! I had a lot of fun with this game and really enjoyed the dialogue throughout—basically every joke landed for me.
There were a LOT of side quests, and they were super fun to complete. The abundance of hats was also entertaining to play around with—though I didn’t appreciate how many were sent via mail, since it made them feel less earned and therefore less special. The variety of weapons you could switch between was another highlight, making each run more unique.
On to my gripes: the elevator mechanic (in which elevator levels are randomised) is cool in concept, but annoying in execution; trying to find a specific elevator level and running across the entire map to find it was exhausting (especially when 100%ing). Unlike the first game—which had an AMAZING final boss fight—this one lacked a proper ending battle. I will say, the rogue aspect of the game got a little repetitive and tiresome late game, but it wasn’t a huge issue as the game itself is quite short.
All the bosses were fun; wish there were more. The ending in which
the final antagonists are some aliens that were barely present throughout the game, instead of Stinky (the bank’s manager) was anti-climatic—we weren’t given closure on what became of him either.
I love the continuation of the nuclear apocalypse established in the first game, and appreciate how much pre-established information was included and extrapolated on in the sequel.
All in all, the sequel imo is not as good as the first game, BUT I appreciate what the devs set out to do. I think the game is quite good and is a satisfactory sequel to the first game, even with a couple of flaws.

I was pretty disappointed with this game compared to the last one.
I have no problem with the humor and overall charm, as I believe the developer did very well with expanding these qualities of the game, but the new direction of gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. I like that the developer attempted a different approach to this series, and the ways of progression definitely are innovative and are in-character for the narrative, but after a while the gameplay loop becomes boringly trivial and excessive, making an entire playthrough feel weak.
There's not enough content to stick around for, either; besides the funny easter eggs, neat weapons to try, and the amazingly designed environments, the map gets very cramped. In the hub area, if you quickly pour all your money into the upgrades and weapons from exploring into the researching desk, you're able to unlock everything you can rather quickly. The content that does exist in the game, though, can be frustrating at times as well. The elevators, a core mechanic in the game, randomly pull up an elevator leading to a different room, and these elevators are completely random, and finding the one you need scattered across the map is a dumb goose chase. Even more asinine for perfectionists, there are four side quests in the game that require you go out of your way to destroy furniture or kill a number of enemies, and since they don't respawn in the already small map you play on, it takes multiple runs to do the quest.
I was thrilled when I found out about the sequel to Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, but this new installment gameplay-wise leaves a rotten taste in my mouth, but because this game still holds a lot of the memorable moments that made the last game feel so special, I still feel this game had something going for it, and was made with some real effort; I just wish there was more polishing on the gameplay and reasons to keep me playing. (4/10)

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is the kind of game that pulls you in with its adorable, colorful art style and humor. It’s packed with cheeky jokes, bright visuals, and clever little Easter eggs.
What really makes it stand out is the attention to detail. Every time you dive back into the bank, there’s a chance to spot something new: maybe a silly interaction, a funny enemy, or just some random little detail hiding in the background. The only downside? It does get a bit repetitive. Respawning and running the same heist over and over can start to feel a little stale after a while. Still, there’s something weirdly satisfying about doing it all again, just to see what you might’ve missed.
If you're into silly fun and don’t mind a bit of repetition, this game is absolutely worth checking out.
