THIS is the sort of game I've been looking for for a long time! Making your own Legend-of-Zelda-like dungeons! This game is a WORK OF ART!!!

Good game with good art. Very intuitive dungeon creator that allows for beginners to make dungeons easily while allowing advanced creators to use more in-depth tools and settings.

If you enjoy the gameplay style pioneered by the inspirational Legend of Zelda series (top-down view), then you'll find this game a welcome addition. This Early Access title is updated very frequently.

This game is basically Mario Maker but for 2D Zelda (or at least as close as legally possible), with a LOT more creative control and freedom. You can basically create entire worlds inside a single level.
Even in alpha, the game looks great and feels great.
The only thing I really have to complain about is the inability to leave comments on dungeons.

Devs really needs to make easier to just get to the dungeons... I mean, instead walking, just click an option like Mario Maker. Speaking in Mario Maker, you guys trully need to make a game like Mario Maker. With glitches and blackjack.... well, forget the blackjack... and don't ban people making glitched levels. (they're the funniest levels in Mario Maker... yea, I'm not very happy with Nintendo...)

This game scratches an itch I've had for almost my entire life. The creation process is simple and intuitive, with greater complexity in creating contraptions and mechanisms to get things working how you want them to, coming up with unique puzzles, and balancing various combat scenarios. In short, both playing and creating dungeons is fun, and the game only gets better at a (mostly) consistent rate.

Such a great game for creating Zelda-like dungeons!
The frequency of updates is crazy: From once a week up to daily! (even if those are just small updates)
With the ever expanding mod (workshop) support, this game has a bright future and a ton of possibilities!
Personally very excited for the announced "Overworld Maker". Sounds like it'll be possible to create an entire game instead of just independant dungeons at some point.
There's a lot of complex logic to make use of.
From simple room conditions to sequences and even dungeon conditions.
If you've looked at one of the screenshots, it's no secret the art-style is a reference to Zelda: Minish Cap - and that's what makes it great imo!
You can even choose your music style:
Wanna go retro? Choose "Chiptune" or want something more fancy, then select "Orchestral".
Want chiptune while you edit but orchestral while you play? Sure, why not!
Worth every cent!
Wether you just want to play user-created dungeons or create your own,
THIS is the Zelda Maker you're looking for!!

I've known about this game for a while now, but only now did I find an excuse to finally buy it. See, when I first saw it, my reaction was "oh cool, diet Zelda Maker!" You'd probably say the same. But listen. Don't you dare put the word "diet" near this game. This is not something to simply satisfy you if you want a Zelda Maker. This IS that. This is ENTIRELY what you want from that. It will scratch that itch as much as an official Zelda Maker would, and in some ways it'll even do it better.
"Early access" is a scary term, and very occasionally you can feel it here, with some minor sound issues here and there and some dungeon parts feeling a little lacking in options (namely bosses, there's only four as of writing this.) But do not let that distract you from how much this game NAILS the vibes & design philosophies of both Zelda and Mario Maker at the same time. The editor is incredibly well-designed, there's so many different options yet it never feels overwhelming once you start playing around with it. The different dungeon themes feel like they were ripped straight from Zelda, yet for most part also feel totally unique in their own right. The dungeon parts are all interesting on their own, but just like Mario Maker they can be combined to make totally new challenges as well. And unlike Mario Maker, the things you can do in this game aren't just options in a series of menus, they're actually implemented into a hub area. The editor is in the Quest Master's house, the user-made dungeons are on a little signpost outside, there's an NPC that'll hatch the pets you can collect in the game, it's super cute.
I love Mario Maker, but it's very much a game before it's a tool. Nintendo restricts a lot of what you can do to make sure you have the experience they want you to have (and also keep things clean for the kids.) That's not the case in Quest Master, you won't be held back by arbitrary limitations here. You're given a ton of space to work with, plenty of floors, an unbelievable number of ways to trigger events, this game is so much more malleable as a tool than Mario Maker without sacrificing the inherent fun of creating a level.
The one downside to all this is that making a dungeon is a lot more complicated and time-consuming than making a platformer level. So before you buy, consider if you really have the capacity to make a full Zelda dungeon. If you do, I promise this game will be your best friend.
9.9/10, thank you for having the courage to let me add custom text to signs.

I'd been eyeing this one for a while. I always thought a Zelda-style dungeon maker thing could be cool after Mario Maker popped off - and this game really fills that void. It's fun to make levels and let your creativeness flow, it's fun to play other peoples' levels and get inspiration, it's just plain fun.

This game is basically the Zelda Maker that N* never released. If you love 2D Zelda games, this is truly an endless experience, just like Mario Maker. The Steam Workshop even allows you to turn your main character into Link himself using community-made mods.
A huge portion of the dungeons created by players are inspired by Zelda, filled with references, or even full recreations of the original dungeons. If you're a fan of 2D Zelda games, this is an absolute must-play!
The developers' passion and support for this game are simply incredible. It receives updates almost every week, and it's amazing how they constantly add both small improvements and major new features—whether in the dungeon editor or in gameplay content.
A huge thank you to the developers! I can’t wait for the 1.0 release. As a lifelong Zelda fan, I’m beyond happy that this game exists, and it keeps getting better every day!
