I remember being sent the demo by the Dev back, I wanna say maybe a year ago? Absolutely love the concept of a magnet-based Sokoban! A real nice shake up to the formula, and a fun little addition to my puzzle game collection! Give this game a shot if you're lookin' for a nice little challenge! Props to the Dev for reaching out to me way back to give feedback, (even though I'm a bit late) proud of your release <3

I'm befuddled!! I zig and I zig and I zig and I zig and I zig, then finally, I zag! Wtf is this, the solution?! How am I both simultaneously the most clever and yet the most stupid person ever?? I am Schrödinger's intellect, and this game is my consternation.

This is a very well designed puzzle game. I've only finished around 60 of the levels so far, but each one has been very satisfying to solve. The rules are very simple and intuitive, and the beginning levels are already nontrivial. It's difficult to make challenging puzzles that have few moving parts and rules. This game has interesting puzzles with only 3 or 4 magnets. I like that some puzzles look impossible at first glance so it really challenges your view on what is even feasible with the given ruleset. Some of the later puzzles look a bit indecipherable though with a lot more magnets. I'm not at that stage where I even know where to start approaching them, but I still have a lot more content to work through before I get to that point. My main wish is some sort of hint system. I think a hint system where there are optional easier versions of the levels that show off edge cases of the ruleset more explicitly would be interesting. EDIT: I managed to finally finish the current levels (107 in total). It was all very doable and felt very rewarding. I really enjoyed the levels where you set up some contraption and do one move to solve the whole thing. After solving, you can see how some elements of the puzzle gently nudge you in the right direction, there weren't any really big red herrings. At the same time, the puzzles are still very difficult. My biggest tip is to work backwards and have some pen/paper to go through the possible end states.

4 levels in and this game started throwing some gut shots. Oooooo this is gonna be gud. 3hrs and 18 puzzles in edit: distracted by the gut shots, I got clocked right across the face and fell down for the first time. I'm back up but still a little dizzy. 5hrs in and only solved 2 more puzzles since my last update. This game is mental S & M

one of the best sokobans ive played. Simple rules, clever solutions and ridiculous setups. Highly recommended for those who like a challenge.

Awesome puzzle game! The look is basic, the rules are simple, but the puzzles are so cleverly constructed. Makes you feel clever, makes you feel dumb, and provides a few aha moments . :)

this puzzle game is beautiful and well designed, the first half is simple, tricky and hard but second half levels are complicated, I don't think it's a bad thing but the difficulty on second half is heavily based on the complexity instead of the concept, so you can expect the game start like baba is you but the second half turned into building a heavy machine if you are looking for something like baba is you which is simple and tricky, this game will be very frustrated for you, especially if you are not good at automaton or something

"A simple 3d puzzle game." - Stephen's Sausage Roll, 2016 If you have played SSR and have ever since wistfully longed for a game that would expect just as much of you and reward you in kind, look no further. This is one of the best sokoban games ever made, one that explores its own mechanics to the fullest extent to bring out the strongest possible puzzles, and is absolutely relentless in its pursuit of making each level a completely unique experience that never repeats itself or talks down to the player. It is not an easy game. It does not pull any punches. It will expect you to rise to the challenge for every single level, but if you are up to it, it will keep revealing more and more to you, right up until the very end. By the time you are done with it, your brain will have expanded multiple sizes. I cannot recommend this more! Go play it.

Magnet Block is an outstanding block pushing / sokoban style puzzle game with stellar level design. Especially given the fact that there seems to be little to no talk about it in the thinky games community and its few reviews on here I’m quite shocked how good this game is. For everybody who is into very elegant, yet challenging and surprising puzzles – this should exactly be your game. Most of the levels have a small solution space and at first glance they look like they should be rather easy to solve – but the reality is that very often you will think despite having tried every possible move that they’re impossible. That is until you figure out that *one* specific move, interaction or idea and all of a sudden you get that rewarding „aha“-moment! In retrospect most levels actually feel rather „easy“ but the solution was just hidden so well in plain sight. This quality of Magent Block puts it up there with the best games the genre produced in my opinion. The game also starts to introduce some very interesting and challenging puzzle ideas right from the start, so you don’t have to play through 50 levels to get to the good stuff, there is no filler to be found in here. The idea of having magnetic blocks in a sokoban game that attract and repulse each other makes for a very smart twist on the formula without being a gimmick. Although I love games that constantly introduce new (environmental) mechanics such as Can of Wormholes or Bonfire Peaks – Magnet Block is all about strong level design. This is a must buy for everybody who is even remotely familiar with the genre!
