I would have to say this DLC is not worth $5.00 very short and really doesn't tell you how Mors got his nick name...ends quickly not much content.

This DLC add an additional 1-2 hours long mode (story), where you learn some more about the backstory of one of the main characters. It was fun, but not worth the standalone price - get it if you can bundled with the main game.

This game (Im talking the base game here) had a lot of potential that the developers completely wasted. One of the best parts is you can get a dog to help you fight. Except the dog doesn't respond in any predictable or even useful way. I tried to get it to attack the guy i was fighting, clicking the dog to attack over and over, meanwhile the dog just stood there watching like an idiot, ignoring all the commands while the other guy beat me senseless. And the whole game is pretty much like this. You click to do something, move this way, hit the opponent, draw and use your mace or sword or anything you can call up - BUT - sometimes your character responds to your clicked commands and sometimes it doesn't. I don't think the developers knew what they were doing when they made this game. The graphics are fine, the sound is ok, the virtual world of the game (grim, cold and foreboding) matches the world of the TV show pretty well - but sadly it's the gameplay where the developers tripped over their own feet and sort of just gave up on the game! Once they had the visual and sound made it seemed to me like they just called it a finished game, and decided to just half-way create the gameplay physics! The action in this game is uneven, the playable character doesn't respond half the time and ignores your commands and this is a game-breaking flaw, too major to work around, work with or side-step somehow. The lack of response from the character ruins it all. I couldn't get my character to literally even save his own life during a fight due to the lag between clicking an action and him doing it, that is if he even does it at all - as a result you pretty much just die in every fight and have a do-over (with the dog watching no less). I only made it an hour before just completely giving up. If you still want to give this game a try, I suggest you watch some youtube gameplay before you put your money down for this broken game.

It's a nice, dark, but short story for those who liked the original. We get to know a little bit more about Mors Westford's background. As I said before, it isn't long. I've completed it in about 2 hours, so some people may find it too short. Still, I had a lot of fun during those 2 hours of playtime, so I can only recommend it. Buy it, if you happen to stumble upon it on a sale.

I would suggest playing this DLC before the main game: it is very short and you level up very fast. So you can try any class with any statbuild and decide whether you'd like to use it with Mors or Alester in the main game.

Beyond the Wall (BLood Bound) is the first and last "quest" (or, better said, additional story) DLC for Game of Thrones. Serving as some sort of prologue for the main story, the mini-campaign takes place ten years before the game's main story and features Mors Westford as a Night's Watch recruit as he tries to survive being taken captive by a tribe of Wildlings beyond the Wall. As far as the story is concerned, the whole episode seems to exist just to reveal the origin of Mors' nickname and how he met his dog, and serves very little purpose otherwise. There are a couple of twists and some badass moments from the characters involved, but that's pretty much about it. The DLC itself could very hardly pass as a prologue for the videogame itself (especially since Alester, the second protagonist, is nowhere to be seen, as the quest focuses entirely on Mors). The gameplay of the DLC also doesn't bring anything new to table: you just have to go around the Wildlings' camp with a fast levelling up Mors killing the same foes you grew familiar with (only, this time they're Wildlings), with no exploration or meaningful narrative choices involved. Sure, the main premise is that you have basically no gear to speak of and must loot everything you can find in order to survive, but the DLC is so short to being with that this handicap is more of an annoyance than a challenge anyway. In short, purchase Beyond the Wall (Blood Bound) only if you are a pure completitionist and really want to experience everything the game has to offer

This DLC takes place 10 years before the events of the game and Season 1 of Game of Thrones and introduces a different leader of the Nights Watch before Geor Mormont took over. The DLC is not very long but will show Mors and Gorold's relationship as friends, how Mors met his dog, and how Mors received the name of the Butcher.

Do I recommend this? Yes, the story was amazing, same with the plot twist. I was so surprised on how good this DLC. 10/10

This DLC takes place 10 years before the events of the base game and focuses on the background of Mors. It will teach you where he got his scars, where he met his dog and why he earned the nickname “The Butcher”. It starts of with you patrolling the wall with a new recruit and suddenly the Wildlings launch a surprise attack and kidnap a builder of the Wall. So you set out to rescue him with a few people and you are predictably caught and imprisoned. It is quite interesting being a slave to a tribe of Wildlings and is definitely odd seeing Mors helpless. The whole dlc will take about an hour and does not allow you to carry over your character from the base game. You have to start from scratch but luckily you level up much faster and by the end I was like level 12. You will be scavenging for what is very low tier armor but will still feel glad when you come across it since it is much better than wearing nothing. Which will come in handy since most of the dlc consists of fighting to survive. Besides that there is nothing else different from the base game. No new armor, ablities or anything of that sort, just a story and different setting. This dlc is decent and can be played anytime you feel like it since it is just backstory. If you already own the dlc I would suggest playing it before the base game.
