This is a cute game and it shows a lot of effort has gone into it.

Cute game with a lot of potential, I just wish the controls weren't so awful. Feels more like a demo than a polished game.

This is probably my most difficult review to make. Even now I still feel torn on whether to recommend, to support the game, or not to be true to anyone considering this game. Ultimately, I have to review this game as it is, not as what it could be.
Starshifter is a game about collecting stars and completing small quests for various animals. it's charming in presentation, a combination of a lovely art direction and lighthearted music. The various areas are vast and colorful and I loved flying through them as the crow, dodging trees and cliffs. I wish i could give more complements, but the game just needs so much more work.
Even though it's had a full release, it still feels like a mid to late beta build. There's a lot of rough edges, more than I care to list. In the controls, in the directions and progression system, in the sound design. I know it could be better, and I believe it will as the dev chips away at updates, but as it stands, this game is just tough to love.
I would only recommend this to die-hard Coyotic Trouble fans and people who don't mind some jank in their short and sweet collectathon.
