I've played a few of these kinds of games now. I feel they all have their shortcomings, but some were enjoyable nonetheless (most notably DNFTM).
TOBOR's story definitely looks interesting, but I feel it makes me work too hard and therefore miss too much of what is happening (it feels like that anyway).
So I will not recommend it - but I am not saying the game is bad. But be prepared to really engage with all these buttons, because the pace is high.
