The good is that it's not a triple-A game. The bad is, and there is much of that, that it's got a level of jank and lack of basic polish that combine to make this really, really hard to play and I can tolerate some real janky stuff.
There is a ridiculous amount of incredibly obvious AI art all over the place.
It's a free form, open world blobber that everyone seems to compare Might & Magic; this is more like Wizardry 8 but the combat is entirely turn based. Dead eyed NPCs stare into the void and might as well be T posing in their default nature as they all stand statue straight. Moving feels literally like driving a car over a hilly road, you move far too fast to encourage any form of natural exploration, but I suspect that there’s not much to find in this big empty world with trees for walls.
Enemies, at least in the start, are guest stars from other c-level games in form and texture, the goblin I’ve seen in a similar game I own. These enemies tend to blend into the surroundings, so when you get stopped as you blaze by the environment at light speed, you’ll need to hit the ‘mouse to look’ button, then hold alt while you scan the surroundings and find the highlighted enemies.
All of these straws add up to breaking the fun for me. I have yet to decide to return this.

It's fun. I like it. It reminds me of some of the classics, like Might and Magic, even though there are a lot of differences. The game world is very large, with lots of places to explore and find shiny new loot.

Great game for the lovers of the genre. Some minor issues here and there but overall I had tons of fun. For MM lovers, I can only recommend.

All in all this is not a bad game and it's worth playing if you catch it on a decent sale. I think his difficulty settings are a bit off as I started out playing the game on NORMAL but it was more like playing the game on HARD. The good thing is, you can change your difficulty settings any time you like. On NORMAL, I found myself just going around all over the place and dipping my toes into other maps just trying to find something I could fight and actually beat so I could power up. It got so bad where I almost stopped playing the game as I was spending more time looking for a fight I could win and was so tired of fighting something 15 times before moving on to another map. I mean, I was searching everywhere and it started to get boring. EASY, IMO is the way to go as I've been really enjoying the game ever since and it's not really EASY but extremely fun since making this change.

Skills are great, combat is fun most of the times.
But unfortunately exploration and story just can't keep up.
I gave up after nearly 30h but still cannot recommend this game.

This game might be fun once you get into it, but the quality is way too low for me to spend time to get past all that. I'm a might and magic 6-8 veteran and I just couldn't get past how ugly and poorly put together this game is. Audio controls don't work consistently on sounds, huge list of hot keys to learn, text is hard to read (and there is a ton of it), my characters couldn't use their starting gear due to stat requirements, lack of sound effects on a ton of in game actions. There are a ton of features in the old might and magic games that this doesn't appear to have and I think it loses a lot.
At this price, the game should be reasonably high quality in art consistency, UI/UX, and learnability.
