I really loved the concept of this game. I thoroughly enjoyed the rough gameplay of the first half hour, giving my crew general directions and having them meander around the wasteland and shoot what was within range. However, once you finish your second mission, you are then required to uninstall weapons from your vehicle and install some new ones.. except you are not given any useful tooltips that would intruct you on how this is accomplished. I searched Google, I read Steam threads, I searched Grok.. but no one could specifically tell me what combination of buttons to hold to even get into the menu on the left side to make items appear onto my vehicle. I think the biggest flaw of this game would be the control scheme. If they would just allow us to use both a controller and a mouse / keyboard AT THE SAME TIME like virtually every other PC game that isn't some terrible console port, I might actually be able to move my mouse cursor onto the menu and then place my item and complete the tutorial. But, no.. if you want to ever use the controller, you are locked out of ever using the keyboard.. it's all one way or all another. I really, really wanted to play this game. The concept is right up my alley.. I love building and collecting and exploring and managing a team.. but my refund window is ticking. I had to Alt-F4 the game so I could search the internet for over an hour and no one had the answer, so now I'm giving up. I want to restate that I am very bored and I have a strong desire to play a game, exactly like this one, but with a better control scheme. I'd pay twice what I paid for this game to have that game.

Severely disappointed in this game, not nearly as much freedom in the vehicle customizer as we were led to believe. The "story" is also extremely bland and the game gets boring after the first 3 missions, just like previous Runner Duck titles. Overall 3/10 wait for sale or more content.

Takes the gameplay of bomber crew and puts it into a car combat exploration game. very fun

Building is much more limited than I imagined, the characters are shallow, the story is lame and the audio further feels lame. Perhaps the game gets more interesting after 10hrs of play, but I have little calling me back to divulge. Not a terrible game, but really should be sitting at $10 PR

TLDR: 8/10 Oh boy this game has been a great blast. Bomber Crew I enjoyed, than when Runner Duck released space crew I struggled to get into it. One day I saw this game on sale and decided to give it a try. What a great 60 hours of gameplay it has been. At the time of writing this review I have just beat the game (dont worry I wont spoil anything). Without getting into too many details the beginning of the game was captivating. Mechanics very well explained. The middle of the game it started to feel a little grindy (and for some reason the performance dropped a little). Once you start capturing a lot of strongholds and outposts the resource grind doesnt feel that bad... And in the late game (where the performance picked back up) Resource grinding isn't a thing at all and you can feel free to build the battle rig of your dreams. I am really happy with this game, Cant wait to see what Runner Duck comes up with next! 8/10 the only thing I wish we could do is multiple missions at once instead of only doing one before returning to base and I wish training manuals weren't as hard to find missions for and get.

The best game in the Crew series! There is an unprecedented level of depth in the customization and individual approach in how you play. When I got this game mid July I didn't understand the reviews describing that it was shallow and bland... There is a very clear amount of love and precision that was put into the mechanics of a cartoonish and not too serious mad max world that Runner Duck has made! Im happy with the complexity but it is far from overwhelming!

Game concept and videos looks avesome, but actual gameplay is ****. Controls for keyboard are made with satan himselve, wasd to move camera and rfqe to move car??? why do you even need to move camera? you have mouse to do that if you really need that. Constant popups that need to be skipped by tab, not esc or rmb will drive you insane. Customization of characters is huge but lacks sense, addition of 1% to stats makes it more if cosmetic that gameplay feature. Car customization works only at base, it isnt bad nor good, just feels wierd for some reason. Gameplay is mix from mobile and console games,so it looks on pc plainly bad. Came here to get terratech with crew and base management , recieved instead mobile game with constant popups and bad controls

Bomber Crew was one of the most boring games I've ever played, but I loved Crossout until power creep turned it into a different game entirely so I was interested enough to give this dev another chance when I saw they'd made a game with a similar post-apocalyptic vehicle construction idea. I completed every mission in the game. I enjoyed strategically building my vehicle to give my crew good protection and vantage points, and I enjoyed going on long adventures where I unfortunately was extremely overprepared. I liked the [strike]VATS[/strike] WASTE targeting system for taking on enemies strategically as well. (The game does not explain at any point what this acronym is shortening, because nobody ever thought of something and they just wanted to use a word that looks like VATS and fits the setting.) That said, you don't really need to develop a strategy or engage with any of the game's more interesting mechanics; Just attach long-ranged weapons (preferably traditional rifles/machineguns because everything else has projectile speeds slower than the faster enemies' driving speeds), do everything you can to reduce WASTE cooldown and then only shoot at drivers. Everything more interesting is weaker, more expensive, and unlocked far too late in the game. Boarders are never threatening, not even a little bit. Your vehicle's armour is mostly irrelevant, as crew have plenty of HP, every single armour piece on your vehicle will be destroyed after 3 collisions with anything and the weight you'd spend on armour is better spent on an extra rejuvenator or two. Enemy weapon types are mostly irrelevant, too. I consistently took more damage from weather than from enemies in most missions. I hate those weather events so much. You can only get pieces that offer good resistance against an enemy faction's favourite damage type by... fully clearing out that faction so they aren't relevant anymore. Why wouldn't the enemies have protection against their most hated faction instead? The weapons you get from them are already specialized against another faction. The progression is fun and I enjoyed upgrading my crew, armour, modules and weapons, but blueprints are given to you far too late in the game. Really, it would be better if everything were pushed back one or two chapters so that you start with lots of options to think about and work towards as you gain resources. Why did I unlock 3 more armour materials in the final region? There are only 2 armour materials for the first two thirds of the game and those 3 armour materials would have been very interesting earlier for their resource costs that would have been expensive at that time. I don't care what I unlock when redesigning my car would take longer than finishing the game, and I never felt like I had to budget my resources. Lack of blueprints was the only thing that ever stopped me from having something I would have used. I cannot overstate how much I disliked the writing. The story is thoroughly cliche and uninteresting and the relic cutscenes often made me groan. Why do the characters seize every opportunity to complain about technology, oil and weapons when those are the three most important things I'm using to save the world? It feels like the game itself is proving its own message wrong. Why is this even a "save the world" story, anyway? Why do I have to be special when this game is such a sandbox? It would have been so much more interesting to play as one of the pre-existing factions and lead their war against the others. I'd love to build a crew and vehicle setup in one of the factions' aesthetics, but as the game is now, why would I? All the very distinctly faction-specific items just feel dissonant among the neutral ones and especially against the other factions' items. It made me actively want to not use anything I got from the Klowns in particular. I had a satisfying experience overall, but only because the setting and gameplay mix elements I already loved in other games and media. Difficulty settings were added in an update after I had already completed the game and they would have improved my experience. 5/10. Would recommend to other people who like slow-paced games and Mad Max settings. Would love to see the dev make a sequel or standalone expansion to build upon the same setting and mechanics.
