I can't do it ! It is clear that 0 fluent English speakers worked on this game. Translation is just horrible and is very clunky to read, a combination of very basic grammatical errors and obscure vocabulary use that ranges from confusing to complete nonsense. In-game text: "Perhaps I should have dressed up, as many people judge you by your clothes first. But on the other hand... We definitely will not get together with modern ladies, obsessed with the fashion industry and care for the looks, and it is better to dot the i's and cross the t's immediately. " Huh?? HUH???? What is that even supposed to mean in this context?? To dot I's and cross T's means to do something meticulously, carefully, and without flaw. Ironic!! The English voice actors also do not speak English fluently, there are plenty of mispronunciations and misreadings present in the audio. It also barely comes across as acting in some parts, the voice cadence of many sentences sound like the speaker is simply reading individual words from a teleprompter and has no idea where the rest of the sentence is going or what the meaning of it is. I bought it on sale for $5 and I feel cheated. They should pay me $5 for caring more about the English version of this game than they did.

This game had a lot of promise, but has just way too many issues for anyone to play. First off, the english translation is abysmal. I would say either the story is nonsensical to begin with or the english translation is so terrible it became incomprehensible. You can muddle through things, but for a murder mystery game to have incomprehensible dialogue is a real problem when you are searching for clues to solve the mystery. The artwork and art direction is the best aspect of the game. Given each character their own specific color motif is a great idea especially for a murder mystery game. It gives off strong clue vibes. The actual mystery is abysmal though. While the game does seem to have plenty of endings based on your decisions and can slightly change who survives by the end...the murderer is so blatantly obvious it borders on absurdity. You'll know who the murderer is within like 2min of playing. The murderer never changes just the order of the murders some of which is RNG based as far as i can tell as i will pick the same dialogue options and different people will wind up dead. I know writing murder mysteries are hard...but this game has too few suspects and is simply far too short. At most one playthrough is like 60min tops. This game should be set up to be much longer and slower paced with far more time to talk to the individual characters to get to know them. It is such a shame how poorly executed this game is. Instead of like a 20hr game where you a trapped on this island for like a weekend getting to know these people and maybe having relationships with multiple characters...the game is over before it begins. I guess one of the few pluses is their is a lot of different evidence you can discover that clearly shows who the murderer is. This is not one of those mystery games where no evidence exists to point to a murderer...again the problem is it's so obvious even without that evidence and it's very difficult to create the situation that allows you to explain that evidence to the other characters to point out who the murderer is. I'm not even going to have a spoiler section, because if you can't figure out who the murderer is within 1min I assume you have never played a murder mystery game. I assume even if the translation issues were fixed...that would still not resolve the fact that this game is simply too short and the plot too simple to spend even an hour of your time on this game. This game should not have been released without significantly more content.

It's a good game. It has flaws, that I will briefly list, but they don't undermine the overall experience (for my taste). Pros - Interesting story and characters - There are some random things that influence the story, which is kind of an innovation for the genre - Choices do count - Unique artstyle - No nonsense (if someone acts weird, other characters will notice) - Short (you will not lose your time with unimportant dialogue and boring stuff) Cons - Bad voice acting (not really important in my opinion, I was surprised that it even had VA, which is a plus) - Some bugs in the texts - Some spelling mistakes - The "mistery" part of the game is not complete, it's more of an horror story than about investigating, but that's fine, just keep in mind that you are not going to feel like Sherlock Holmes. I think that this is worth your time if you like dating sims with a dark side, but I would buy it at heavy discount, since it is pretty short (but replayable). For the devs: I think you did a good job with the game, but yeah, since the game gives an investigation type of vibe, it would be cool to be able to use what you discovered to make an accusation in the end, and then have an ending that depends on if you were right or not. This chapter just ends with
someone just straigth up explaining who is supposed to be the killer, but you will not have any confirmation that the assumption is correct
, so you will neither be able to make an accusation nor see if you were correct about your suspicions
«Fate or just a funny coincidence?»
One Eleven is a visual novel in the detective genre, set in a mansion where the protagonist arrives hoping to meet interesting girls. However, will it be that simple? The developer promises that the antagonist is randomly chosen from all the characters, but I didn't notice such a feature. The killers were the same for me, but to be fair, I didn't do enough «restarts» to be entirely sure.
«We convince ourselves that we control our own destiny, but a chance encounter, one tiny event can change everything!»
The game includes elements of a «dating simulator.» You can choose one of six girls and develop relationships with her. The game features a convenient «Relationships» tab where you can track all the points you've earned. Oh, yes, the success of player-character interactions is determined by these very points, which are earned or lost during dialogues. Some choices give points, while others take them away. It's evident that the developer tried to give each character their personality. There’s an anime girl, a goth girl, and a «sporty» type. The male characters are a bit more interesting; there's a «rational and mysterious guy,» a detective, and a typical strongman. Nothing surprising, quite standard archetypes, but this doesn’t make it worse. The characters have been crafted with effort to add a unique personality to each.
«You will discover no better location within the city to unwind and rejuvenate.»
Currently, the game only has the first chapter available, but the developer is actively working on it, with a couple more chapters in progress. The soundtrack is quite good, although it abruptly ends and starts over, making the transition noticeable. A smoother, looped transition would be preferable. Even now, there's enough content to keep you occupied for a few evenings. The game has a good atmosphere and pleasant text, and for the price, it’s a pretty good option to play through in a couple of days.

«He lit a cigarette, and began to tell me the story in detail… He apparently needed some kind of verbal summary of his years of hunting.»

Really good game. I was genuinely invested in the plot and characters, and I feel like more people should play. I don't like all the random sexism about "girls do this" or "guys do that" which was honestly the most annoying part for me. Someone else has mentioned this but it really ends up coming down to just having a lot of people dying and picking one of two people (and the killer is always super obvious) which is depressing honestly, though the fact I actually still gave a shit about all the character when they were dying is a testament to how well written they are Also, to all the people complaining about the bad ends, git gud. You literally just have to do nothing. Only investigate the shed fire once it's already happened, etc. I'm but a humble aroace, so I appreciate that despite it also being a dating sim, you can just ignore the romance and be fine. Also there's some scenes that are mentioned like "oh but she wasn't outside when we were all reacting to the explosions" and I was like "how was I supposed to know that?" because the scene was never actually shown. Or when the storm happened and apparently people left and came back??? but the scenes of that were never shown. Also some voice lines don't match up with the text and the voice acting is hit or miss. Still a really good game and I recommend it. Give it more love.

Quick points: General score: 2/10. For the idea only. The game - trash. The optimization and the saving system - practically nonexistent. The slides - nonexistent unless you buy the DLC. The idea - genius. The realization of the idea - trash. The DLC - a spit in your face. Full review (spoiler alert): The idea of an interactive "mafia" game is brilliant. But what did the developer/s do in order to make it ANY interesting? Nothing. Instead of being really invested in the story, trying to get some clues based on the character's answers, trying to really create relationships with other characters, etc., you are forced to play-guess (even though there can only be one out of 2 killers, which is a fucking laugh). You aren't a detective in this game, you are a brain-dead idiot, who just goes around messing with people, when he could be sleeping instead, and believe me - the character would be in much less danger. And all of that is only because you can't even really interact with any of the characters. You can't convince anyone about who you suspect the killer is, you can't speak with the characters in order to persuade them to believe you about the other character being the killer and not you. The dialogue options and the general feel of the interactions are super-limited. You don't even have a chance to stop the killer before he commits his second assault; you can't get thrown out in the very start no matter what you do; you can't isolate certain people for a small period of time. So basically you are watching a super lame visual novel where you are forced from time to time to play a tedious mini-game (yeah, hello to every single one of you guys who ended up burnt to crisp in that little barn outside). The game had potential. The characters could become interesting and intriguing. But either the developer didn't see the said potential, or wasn't even planning on making it anywhere near to the state the game is rn and was just hoping to get some quick cash.

Review updated after the game's major update 1.7. One Eleven is a 'whodunit' type visual novel. Our character, Hugh, goes on a speed dating event that happens in a venue on an island. However, just after the event finishes, a terrible storm begins, destroying the only bridge leading to the island, so we're all cut off from the rest of the world for the night. But that's only the start of our nightmares, because soon enough we discover that one of us has been killed and there's a killer among us. It is a pretty great idea to have this kind of mix of a murder mystery story surrounding a group of 12 people and some romance building. Moreover, the order in which the characters become victims is semi-random each time you play, which really increases replay value. A single playthrough isn't too long and so it's not a chore to replay the game and try some other decisions. The way the game creates a variety of events that can occur is impressive, although the story still is pretty linear, and the same sequence of main events will occur regardless of what you do (aside from the game over and early endings). And unfortunately this does mean that the plot of the game is a lot more on the rails than it seems at first glance. After the most recent major update (1.7), more choices on how to act at key points in the story have been provided, which is a huge plus, because before that as a player I felt pretty powerless to change the main course of events. Some of those new scenes are pretty tense and nicely executed! In some ways, some characters still act illogically, because in a situation like this, the most logical thing would be for everyone to stick together, but many characters still split up and go off somewhere on their own. But since we have more choices now, there's a bit more player agency than before. There are at times chances to freely roam the area, collect clues, and talk to other characters. But make your actions count during these moments, because there's a hidden limit to how much you can do before the story progresses. The game is partially a romance-building story too. After the most recent, much needed, major update, it is now possible to get a happy ending with your chosen girl if you act wisely and do the right choices (this was not possible for all the girls prior to the update). Mostly, you don't have to solve the murder mystery if you don't wish to, although you can go around and gather clues, and that does hugely help you later on and opens up some important choices. There aren't really any puzzles or mini-games, aside one (which prior to the update was poorly executed and required a lot of trial and error, but now there are hints present which make it more manageable; depending on your choices, you might not necessarily come across it altogether). The game does create a pretty amazing atmosphere with the use of incredibly stylish art of the characters, and a highly interesting use of colour, with each character having their own unique colour. The moody and unsettling music also really helps to increase the sense of mystery once the murder plot begins. And then there's voice acting... So the game can be played in two languages - English and Russian. Unfortunately I've found that English voice acting is pretty subpar and below average, and clearly feels that it was spoken by non-native speakers. So merely half an hour into the game, I couldn't stand it as it was pulling me out of the game. So I started the game over from the beginning in Russian (lucky for me, I can understand it). The Russian voice acting is much better. So if you can understand Russian, just play in Russian. If you can't, you might have to endure the English voice acting, or switch voice acting to Russian but keep text in English (kind of like watching a foreign movie with subtitles). Overall, I really enjoyed the premise and had a fun time playing through this game! It's a pretty ambitious idea, with a tonne of potential. The new major update has greatly improved the overall execution and provided a bit more player agency during key moments. It's understandable though that the game was made by a very small indie dev team, and even though there are aspects that can be criticised, in general what they've achieved with this game is pretty spectacular. I think they certainly should feel proud of their work. Not to forget, make sure to buy the 18+ content DLC as well if you want the additional romance scenes with the ladies that are spicy and hot.

I want to like this game. It has so much potential. But as much as I want to like this game there are just too many glaring issues that I can't overlook. Typos: I can forgive to an extent, but when you get what appear to be simple coding issues such as an "n" showing up before character names or the name not showing up at all, it starts to wear on me. Dead Ends: The shed fire. The game presents itself like there is a way to get out of the shed from the fire. But there is no escape. Nothing you can do can prevent it. Saving Bugs: Normal mode allows you to save. Except there isn't really any saving because autosave will overwrite the save slot. The only way around this is to be sure to use a different save for every slot. In my current game, my Save Slot 14 snapshot shows me a three-choice option "Stay by the fireplace", "Go to the kitchen", "Go to Emilia". However, if I click on it, it takes me to the snapshop of Slot 10. This is very basic stuff here that should be ironed out before release. But the greatest issue is the "mystery" itself. I went into this game expecting it to be a case where you solve the crime and catch the killer. Instead, this is a game of watching everyone die around you while you find vague clues that are automatically provided by one of the NPCs later in the story to remind you. You reach a point where you are asked to pick one of the two remaining NPCs to accuse. Nevermind that I've had a suspicion of exactly who the killer was since the second murder, but couldn't even act on it in any capacity. And in my run-through, I saw the killer attempt to leave just before the shed fire and it just wasn't even mentioned again.
