[i]Note: Played the game for dozens of hours over on the Quest so don't mind my low hour-count on here. But here are my thoughts as a somewhat veteran of the game:). SPOILER:[/i] [spoiler]It's great, get it!:)[/spoiler] [h1]A VR Sports-Trainer Done Right![/h1] The concept of Rezzil Player is as simple and straight forward as it can get: [i]"Play elements of real-life-sports in VR".[/i] However, in my years of VR experience so far, i have yet to find another game that manages to translate motions like heading a ball or throwing a Football into VR as accurately and seemlessly as this one. The inevitable lack of an object's weight is being compensated by a close to perfect and predicable physics engine which elevates this game to the forefront of all Coordination Trainers and Sports Simulation Games in VR. I keep having to remind myself that I am in fact not hitting physical object but a virtual one. The wholesome and communicative team of developers have been working together with top athletes from a variety of fields, ranging from professional Soccer Players, to NFL player or even Race drivers to try and deliver the ultimate training experience in VR and it shows - I have to attribute a lot of my physical fitness, as well as recent gains in hand-eye coordination to this game! But before I briefly cover the individual modes: [h1]Yes, the Challenges are real and there is thousands of dollars in cash up for grabs, monthly![/h1] The team curates special challenges in form of the Pentathlon (a combination of all modes with a huge prize pool), famous goal recreations and several other themed challenges every month. Now that that's covered, lets have quick look at the different modes available in the game: [h1]Headers[/h1] As the company "Rezzil" itself is deeply rooted in Football (or soccer for the Non-English), it makes sense that the game's signature and pretty much main gamemode revolves around heading balls around. This is where the superb physics come into clutch, as the player can choose test their skills in 4 different modes of headers - Traditional goal-shooting, passing, clearing and ball control. Every one of these modes features several dozens of levels that range from easy to INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT so every player is guaranteed to find a suitable challenge (Same applies for the other gamemodes). As is the case with any mode, there is both leaderboards for players to place themselves on in pursuit of that coveted rank #1 and modifiers that allow players to spice up their gameplay (invisible balls are brutal). [h1]Reaction Wall[/h1] While the headers modes are geared more towards full-body coordination and accuracy, the Reaction Wall drill is guaranteed to bring anyone's sweats on by testing their speed, reaction time and hand-eye coordination. The principle is simple: Hit the lights in front of you as fast as possible and try to get into the zone. I personally view this drill as a concentration exercise even, as you really have to focus completely on the task at hand if you want to do well. [h1]Hoops[/h1] Hoops is the rhythm game portion of the game where you lead a basketball through oncoming rings. The same concept as with any rhythm game applies here too: Looks easy and simple but turns out to become eshausting really quick. Thus, view this as the cardio portion and leg workout of the game. [h1]Field General[/h1] Field general turns you into an NFL quarterback by putting an american football into your hands with the mission to throw that thing far and hard. Same as with the headers mode, you are able to work your way through an assortment of levels and difficulties where the game strikes a healthy balance of force needed to throw and "throw assist". [h1]... Closing Words[/h1] Would I say this game is for anyone? Pretty much, yes. - While I surely won't recommend Rezzil Player as an essential pick to someone that's looking for action or shooter games, I still think that everyone is able to get something out of the game, no matter if they are a full-on athlete or my grandma. Be it the gamified cardio, serious training capabilities, raw challenge or physics appreciation, Rezzil Player will be an awesome bang for your buck! I hope this little insight could help with determining if this is a buy for you:)... Hoping to catch you on the leaderboards then!;)

I haven't put very much time into the Steam VR version of Rezzil Player... Yet... But I can assure you I have put too many hours into playing the Quest version. I started playing back in April 2022 and was immediately hooked into the beautiful simplicity of the game. Throwing virtual american footballs and heading virtual footballs (soccer to the Americans) couldn't be more addictive, challenging and satisfyingly rewarding. I love a good scoreboard to compete against other players and not only does Rezzil Player offer that, it also offers real cash prizes for players taking part in their set monthly challenges. I have won a fair amount of money playing this game and it is by far my most played VR game ever... I can't recommend Rezzil Player enough, the game, the developers, the community and the prizes are all awesome!
