this series rewired my brain and i am now a sicko who likes to stare at rocks on the ground and rearrange them into bespoke patterns for hours

Not for everyone, but it's surprisingly charming. Plenty of secrets, puzzles, and character building. *I highly recommend learning how to use AUTOKEY before attempting to play this game. Otherwise, combat will be very frustrating...*

Movement is grid based and turning around is always 90 degrees per turn. Something i don't have an issue with but some players might find clunky. Combat mainly consists of kiting enemies and managing inventory items bombs and potions require a lot of micromanagement and quick clicks. It's not bad but it's not great. Puzzles vary in difficulty but for the most part are straight forward enough. From my experience a run could never be over because you got locked out without a way to backtrack unless you cornered yourself in with combat. The length of the game could had been a little longer but i felt like it was a balanced amount that didn't make me wish for the end to be in sight but at the same time not short. If you should crave more content there seams to be workshop support for community dungeons. The game also provides you with a dungeon editor to create your own dungeons. I've not personally explored this option or the workshop but i though i would mention it. Recommend this game if you like old school RPG dungeon crawlers without hand holding. I enjoyed the game from start to finish but i wouldn't say its a must play.

Fantastic fun on meta quest 3 HDMI link. Highly recommend if you find a control scheme that fits your play style.

Pretty fun with good puzzles and secrets. Overall a short game. My equipment/item hoarding tendencies was my bane. Not me beating the final boss with nearly 20+ in each herb and enough bombs to use only that on it teehee

It's a great game, I had it on my wishlist forever but thought performance issues wouldn't make it viable for my lower end PC. But it runs great and looks great. I understand this was their first game, the dungeon areas get a little tiresome, but the combat and everything else feels amazing. I'm not big on puzzles, so the puzzles can be a little tedious, I would love a version of this game specifically focused on combat and maybe even a roguelike version but as a developer myself I understand how this is just wishful thinking. Love it. 9/10.

This is one of those games that you can't help but find overwhelmingly charming despite how absolutely infuriating it can be at times. Enemies are disgustingly tanky and hard-hitting and spawn out of thin air to sandwich you, quest essential items can be scattered like worthless trash in hard to see places, some of the secrets are obscure to the point of being ridiculous... But the sense of adventure that comes from exploring a masterfully crafted dungeon; the satisfaction from outmanouvering and overcoming OP enemies; and pure glee upon uncovering a treasure hidden behind a secret are like nothing else. Be prepared to suffer a little (or a lot) and save often.
