Awesome Game! Good for players who loves to solve puzzles! Played it with my Wife!

A good way to kill an hour or two. Some of the puzzles were a little too obtuse, making even knowing where to begin a puzzle in of itself (probably by design) the hint system seems to over compensate for that. The largest complaint I have is also the largest compliment, I wish it was longer.

Took me & my sister 3 hours, Was really fun, I liked the puzzles. Was worth my time. Will re-open to get the achievements :) Do recommend playing the first free game in the series to see if you like the vibe but this game 1 ups it. Better. Good job devs

Always love puzzle-related games. It is not a horror game and lots of thinking. Appreciate the hard work done by the game developers. Really thoughtful and fun <3 It may be a problem for some introvert players as this game requires a lot of voice-calling as a form of communication. Be prepared to have a partner who can also play the paid version of the game otherwise you can't play till you find one. Good luck<3

Highly recommend for a short play-through game with your favorite gaming duo. Does take some good communication, but well worth it especially for the price

Me and my fiancé loved the prequel; however, this game was extremely frustrating. We felt like some of the puzzles were so incredibly unintuitive that they were on a verge on unsolvable. Furthermore, the hints, although usually helpful did not lead us sometimes to understand how we were even supposed to reach those results. Overall, I do not recommend.

Sequel to Unsolved Case, Unboxing The Cryptic Killer is the first paid game of the Cryptic Killer saga. Pretty similar to its predecessor, it's a 2 players co-op puzzle game (similar to the We Were Here games), where you are meant to be in constant communication and collaboration with your teammate to be able to solve the puzzles and proceed with the story. Being slightly longer than the free to play prequel, Unboxing The Cryptic Killer's puzzles start getting a bit more interactive and more complex as they proceed (while still starting with the classic simple puzzle that will help you understand that the main purpose of the game is that you cooperate with each other). I really like how the developers manage to keep adding puzzle after puzzle, all of them being completely different from each other, while keeping the essence of communication, where both players are activaly exchanging information and solving what's on their side (with none of the players having a particular priority or role). I don't have a lot more to say about this one that I haven't said about the previous one, but, if you are interested into this game, I completely recommend you to play the previous game, Unsolved Case, for two main reasons. First, because it will help you decide if this is your type of game, and secondly, because they are different games and, even when the main focus is to solve the puzzles, there is a big focus on a story too that you shouldn't miss. Played the demo/ prequel first and loved it. Husband and i were so excited when we got this one on sale! Sadly, it wasn't as good as the first game. The story is barely there and without the information of the prequel it feels like players will not get a deeper understanding of the "case". The bit of story you get in the "cutscenes" is stupid and made me question the intelligence of the detectives. The puzzles were mostly fine but often solved in a way that the solution could be interpreted in different ways, we were often more confused than necessary. It took us less than 2 hours to complete the case, then we played with reverse rolls and replayed most chapters for the last few achievements. 100% in less than 4 hours. Kinda dissapointing for the price.
