I love this game!
It's amazing how a "puzzle-platform" videogame can be so addictive. The mechanics of placing blocks and "programming" them is simple and clever. As you progress through the game, different types of blocks and other mechanisms appear to make the situations more interesting and with new mechanics.
The levels are very well designed and require both brains and skill. The difficulty increases in a progressive and balanced way, without frustrating difficulty spikes. You don't encounter overly difficult screens until you reach the final levels.
I also liked the design, graphics and music.

For 6 bucks? Yeah, I'd say XanChuchamel is okay. It's exactly what's advertised, just a little platformer. The block mechanic is sufficient enough; I've played through the first 20% of the game, and so far, that block mechanic has been fleshed out a bit more than I expected. I figured it'd just be the same thing in different levels, but they actually add a few things, like the blocks can move and you can control how they move. It can be hard to appreciate the controls at times because the hitbox for the main character (is their name XanChuchamel??) is pretty hit or miss. Sometimes, you'll be on the edge of a ledge because you're trying to place a block out as far as it can go, but then you fall off into a pit of spikes even though it looked like you still had half your body on the ledge. It's not a huge issue though, you can usually get back to where you were in like a minute. The game is good at not wasting your time. I'd say my biggest praise goes to the little challenge coins you collect, they actually feel rewarding and make you think. I remember I was messing around with this one block that would go up and down, I realized that there was this weird mechanic where if you stopped it before it went all the way down, its cycle would start where you stopped it and it would go higher than before. I managed to make it work, only to find out there was a coin I could reach now that I did this. It felt really cool, I like many people enjoy messing around with game mechanics and pushing them further than their intended usage, and the game actually rewarded me for it. Good job, XanChuchamel.
