Great, but the wall with the Genie doesn't vanish when you collect the sledge hammer. Is there a fix for this? Great game though - terrific. Also, there's no Coal to collect and the scoring system doesn't work.

The first in the series,
The whole game is reference to the UK 1984 Miners strike.
Watch out for Arthur Scargill!

A very well made Jump and Run of the early 8 Bit era.
This here is the original Spectrum version from 1984, and after finishing the game I know why it's gotten it's reputation of being one of the best Spectrum games.
It's not as hardcore J'n'R as Manic Miner for e.g., much more forgiving at the jumping parts with only a few times during the game where you need pixel perfect jumping and timing skills.
Plus it also has some little adventure touches as in, pick up certain objects in the level to kill certain monsters. This starts in the first screen already where you need to pick up the bucket to be able to collect the coal, which is the whole point of the game :-).
I knew of the games reputation but never played it before since this stream release and I am not regretting this decission. Game is awesome (if taken in context).
The price point is pretty much perfect, 1.59 Euros for 2 hours of fun, and you can always try to beat it the old school way without the savegame feature, which will make every 8-bit era game significantly harder up to nigh impossible to beat.
