It's an ok mission, the bunker is sometimes worth it in mid game missions when you need to get a factions to like you. The mission took me two tries due to some curve balls it gives you by the end. I would say get it on sale for like 1 to maybe 2 dollars.

This is Tropico 4's final DLC. I guess they decided to go out with a thematic bang.
The new Nuclear Shelter building is literally a doomsday bunker, and whoever you choose to save in it (through its workmodes) gains respect for you. The faction you chose, meanwhile, will gain more members. It's pricey and not that useful, but at least you can roleplay Fallout: Tropico. Hell, there's two generic-but-nice decorative items the store page doesn't mention, and they're both called Fallout decorations. Whether that's homage or laziness I can't quite tell, so I'll go with both.
Survivalist, the new trait, is pretty useful though. It makes Environmentalists respect you more, and perhaps more importantly, makes Tropicans eat less food. Good for getting Environmentalists on your side if you're extracting natural resources, even if making people respect you isn't hard to begin with in this game, and good for staving off starvation.
The new outfit is a full-body hazmat suit, the only full-body outfit in the game, and it gives off some real STALKER vibes. If you want El Presidente to walk around like he's telling Tropicans "Blowout soon, fellow Stalker!" then this is your gear.
As for the mission, it starts in 1970 and has you preparing for - what else - the apocalypse. Other reviewers don't seem to like it, and it is kind of undercooked compared to other missions, but I thought it was okay for what it was. There's an interesting mechanic representing your stockpiling of supplies and there's also an alternate ending you can go for. Unfortunately as in a couple other DLC missions there's a lack of proofreading and some text doesn't match the voice lines.
Apocalypse definitely lives up to the term "bite-sized", so you should only get this in the complete bundle if you like the game.

Building: Useless, no idea what scenario you would need this in where you couldn't just satisfy what the factions want
Trait: Never used but I have heard positive things about it
Outfit: dgaf
Scenario: Fun but not particularly challenging
Summary: Not good, except for the trait

3 dollars for a useless, expensive in-game building that only serves a purpose for the mission it's attached to.

Apocalypse is the 10th tiny stuff DLC for Tropico 4. And the last one. They sure abused the system. Oh well, we all will just get Collector's Bundle on big sale.
The mission is fairly interesting, but nothing too hard. The nuculear war is coming and you have to stuff your shelter up with some of the four main factions members, while other will complain about your choices. There is a harder victory condition of constructing an extremely expensive building. But we all know how to make money rain on head by now.
No, nothing spectacular is going to happen, it's not going to turn into DayZ. But you probably should have been expecting it if you played Tropico campaigns. Just your usual humor.
Building that you get here is Shelter. It's not cheap, but once you set it up, you can increase respect of any faction by 20-40 by setting up it's work mode at anytime.

For a theme with this much potential, this DLC is pretty uninspired. You get a new building (the bunker) which is pretty pointless, since it doesn't do anything noteworthy, and some other small things (outfit, trait).
However, the main reason I got this was because of the apocalypse mission, and it's pretty underwhelming. The mission pretty much goes like this: build the pointless bunker which triggers new missions -> do random missions for 4 standard factions -> game over. There's NO juggling of diplomatic relations leading up to the so called war and NO tension in terms of time or resource constraints (you can play your standard routine until you're filthy rich) in the face of imminent destruction.
Lastly there is NO ACTUAL WAR. None. I've played this mission several times (once the normal faction route and once the voodoo lady ending) and it always ended the same: "Whoops, turns out there is no war. Isn't this funny?". Instead of the mission ending with a literal bang or with an invasion of the US/USSR, it just ends with a lame dialogue box. Quite disappointing, really.
