very good game :D!

if it lags just cap it to 60 fps and you'll be fine. most glitches are patched and the game doesn't look half bad. the nerfs make it too easy tho so get a mod called gameplay & ui fixes to remove the nerfs and make the gp almost identical to wii

Sonic Colours Ultimate definetly spent their money on the gameplay while the cutscenes still felt like they were out of a Wii game. But apart from that and some annoying moments here and there this game is a lot of fun A pretty good remaster 8/10

Sonic Colors: Ultimate is a bit of a mixed bag. On the plus side, it definitely looks sharper with 4K support and smoother performance at 60 FPS (on capable systems). The remade textures and new HUD give it a cleaner feel compared to the Wii original. Sonic also controls better—more responsive and snappy—which makes the fast-paced boost gameplay super fun, especially if you’re into titles like Sonic Generations or Unleashed. At its core, this is still one of the better modern Sonic games—great level design, cool Wisp powers, and a strong sense of speed. That said, the remaster had a rough launch. Visual inconsistencies like weird lighting and washed-out colors, buggy cutscenes, and even game-breaking glitches were big problems. The sound mix wasn’t great either—sound effects were overpowering, and there weren’t any audio sliders. The 2D sections also felt off at times with clunky transitions from 3D. But here’s the kicker: if you’re playing on PC, the Project Re-Rainbow mod pretty much saves the day. It fixes a ton of those bugs and visual issues, improves lighting and colors, tweaks the UI, and just overall brings the game closer to what it should have been at launch. With the mod, the Ultimate version finally lives up to its name. If you’re a fan of Sonic and have access to the mod, I’d say it’s absolutely worth checking out. Just know that the vanilla experience still has some rough edges. ★★★☆☆

This is one of the best platformers and one of the best games in the series. The wisps are really fun, the level design is great, and the sound track is amazing, there's a thrilling sense of speed and the game overall has a lot of charm and doesn't take itself too seriously. It was a great way to revisit a piece of my childhood. It is a bit of a lazy port, but all the big issues from release with it have been patched. While mods could make the experience into what it probably should have been in terms of making it a beautiful remaster, and the "new" remixes are terrible, you could just use the original sound track and perfectly enjoy the game in an experience that is a good upgrade from the wii version. Mods are certainly not necessary to enjoy the game. Overall I would recommend to anyone who enjoys platformers, although due to it's relatively short length (as with most games in the series), I recommend picking it up during a sale.

Well I liked this game at first, but there are a few things that don't add up. I know it's more of a report for modern consoles and the original game originated on the Wii, but I think the DS version is better than both versions. I still think this is a good game, but it's just quite average. The reason why i like the DS version more is because; more characters are in the game, special stages exist, challenges (even though you can count rival battles in ultimate), better lore, more wisp abilities, the translator already working and most importantly, the Mother Wisp. I can't recommend this or the Wii version to everyone, but I think Mario fans can enjoy this game more.

i lost 20 years of my life. OG is better but this is like a half-ass port. uhm soundtrack is great but i prefer the OG (can change the ST in settings so dont really matter) Metal Sonic fights are like boring asf and Super Sonic feels really out of place. The original Sonic Colors was my first sonic game i played, this game IS NOT MY BELOVED COLORS. its a load of steamy hot garbage, anyway like 7/10 (OST gives it like 5 points alone)

Get it on sale and install project re rainbow and colors act restoration mod.
