Fun little game & true to its simple "spot the difference" purpose. The difficulty scales as you consecutively guess the odd one out correctly, and it also comes with controls for you to adjust the difficulty to your liking as well! A worthy addition to every gamer's library :)

While the game is what it says, (a game about spotting the odd one out), I found the biggest puzzle to be the game's minimalist aesthetic. There are no instructions nor directions as to what the controls are or how to use them other than to click and be shocked when the next level has many more pieces than expected that are all moving and flipping and there is no way to reverse the change without taking the loss and then moving to the next level (though hopefully you remembered what you clicked to get it to this change or else your next level will be exactly the same). I'm fine with minimalism, but at least let me pull up a menu or provide me with a hover explaining what the controls are.

1. Platinum trophy/gamer's completion can be obtained during first, single run 2. Puzzles get repetitive veeery fast. Making you stop searching for the "odd one" and search for the "odd one" you will know/recognize soon for each puzzle instead... 3. Needs more variety/content 4. It's somehow fun nonetheless

Really fun, and strangely addicting. The game's modal of letting you take your time and choose your difficulty is really nice when you want to relax. And you can't beat that price. 9/10 Update: Many hours later, its still great

This is a very simple yet fun little game. Perhaps a bit too minimalist (I wasn't quite sure what the controls under the score were for), but the background music is nice and the symbols have a cohesive look. Definitely worth a few bucks!

I struggled to enjoy this game as the number of shapes seem limited, and the increase in difficulty seems to be annoying rather than actually difficult. However, with all that said it is a game about spotting the odd one out and it is a very cheap game so with those two boxes ticked I cannot really say that it does not do as advertised.
STORY
There is no story, background, or setup to the game.
GAMEPLAY
The game has you finding images that do not match the rest of the images on the screen. The gameplay can be dynamically changed at any time to increase or decrease difficulty.
PLAYTIME
The game is pretty easy and is only as hard as you want to make it for yourself. Play time for this game is ~45-60 minutes to get all achievements.
COMPLAINTS
The game needs some UI improvements, like an exit or menu button if the user puts it in full screen, additionally a settings option would be helpful as well. While the Steam overlay works in the game the ability to take screenshots is not available in this game.
REPLAYABILITY
There is no end game and you could continue to play forever if you wanted to.
RECOMMENDATION
UI issues aside, I would recommend this game to anyone that likes casual games or is an achievement hunter.

Odd One Out is a simple but funny puzzle game where you have to find the one who's differents than the others. For his low price, it worth it and I recommend it. ❤️

PROS: + interesting gameplay + chill music CONS: - slightly confusing UI - repetitive after a while - no Steam Cloud saves - achievements are restricted even though this isn't a free game Comment: Finding the one tile/symbol that does not fit is a nice concept. Not a complex thing but with a few settings it can be a challenge. The levels are generated and the odd symbols repeat so eventually you know what you are looking for. Now, I get the UI is setup so that it is recognized in all languages. However, that doesn't mean it is automatically easily understandable. So here’s UI some tips: The highlight setting is either enhancing the tile size under the cursor OR having five dots circling the highlighted tile. The difficulty slider/dial is there to change up the settings and it moves dynamically based on how well you are doing. You can also set it yourself and even lock it so it doesn't change. Optionally, you can tweak the settings (in the upper right corner) to your liking. First setting is the size of the field and it can be set from 2x2 up to 10x10. Second settings is that the tiles can be flipped both vertically and horizontally, upping the challenge. Third is tile rotation. Fourth is tile wiggle. Fifth makes tiles move around the board. I found that the most points with the least time per turn was a 10x10 field with just the flip settings on. This gives 11 points each turn while being mostly chill and easy to distinguish. Possibly, you can go for 2x2 with each settings on for 18 points but stuff will shift around quickly. Playable on Steam Deck but not great because it doesn't have a close button. Having to go to the Steam button menu and force the game to shutdown. Overall not a terrible game but mediocre and not memorable. Get it possibly in the bundle with all the 'I commissioned some ...' games. Otherwise not recommended. ------------------------------------------------------------------ If you liked this review you can find more on the Curator page or in my Review Corner.

funny and addicting in a short time. The game's mode of taking your time and choosing your difficulty level is really enjoyable when you want to relax. the price is unbeatable. achieving the achievements is difficult with 5000 points needed. i will not play it to the end because i prefer other game styles, i bought it in a bundle. worth getting it in a sale. have some cookies with it? Almond Spritz Cookies (I already posted this recipe once, but they are sooo delicious n easy to do...) Ingredients 1 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1 large egg, room temperature 1/2 teaspoon almond extract 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt Pink and red colored sugar, optional Directions In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in egg and extracts. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Using a cookie press fitted with the disk of your choice, press dough 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. If desired, sprinkle with colored sugar. Bake at 375° until edges just begin to brown, 7-9 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
