Holy fuuuuuuuu... why doesn't his have more reviews!? Lovely little arty and dark game with a relaxing pace. Loving the artwork so far and the story is interesting, I'm just so shocked this game doesn't have more people playing it. Such a shame, get it out there people!

This is my first time playing a graphic novel styled game. That said as someone without experience, the gameplay, writing and artwork especially reminded me of the game Rusty Lake- which I absolutely loved. The art and animations seem heavily inspired by Twin Peaks/ David Lynch- another huge plus for me. The length was perfect and I really enjoyed unlocking in-game extras and Steam achievements. I loved the multimedia aspect and the soundtrack was stellar! These characters are relatable, mimicking the intricacies and oddities of being human; the unexpected alternate endings mirror the craziness we face in our sometimes chaotic lives. I would especially recommend this game to artists and lovers of art, dark humor enthusiasts, anyone that loves The Smiths, and hopeless romantics. I only wish I could play as any female characters to further their POV, and I’ll be anticipating a sequel!

I really enjoyed this visual novel. I was absorbed into the world of Trevor and Mallory and felt attached to both of them. I like the interactive actions you can take as it keeps it engaging as well as the pacing of the story telling. The artwork was dark and unnerving at times, but also wholesome and cute. The cut scenes were very well done! I loved all of the music in this game and I loved all of the music references ;) I will definitely be playing through again - I want to unlock the character profiles as well as try for alternate endings. I was moved by An IOU and I definitely recommend this game to anyone who loves a good story. Remember to wait through the credits!

this is the first visual novel type game I have ever played, and I was not disappointed! Well written, believable characters i could relate to, and a visual style I really liked, this was fun to play (and I can't wait to play more to get the other endings!)

I absolutely enjoyed playing this game. The story telling, the soundtrack, the artwork and the atmosphere it´s truly amazing and so close to reality. I think adding the unlockables and especially the fourth wall break into this game was also a very interesting and creative thing to do. Short and sweet that´s for sure. I come back once in a while to appreciate the artwork and to get inspired. I don´t usually play visual novels that often but this one was amazing I can definitely recommend.

This is a great game, it is relaxing and has a good story. Well worth the price of admission. Listen to Mr. Cadaver's audio book of Welcome to the N.H.K. after playing this game! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMkqCpeJ0uM&list=PLLhxxy2HXB3AHEa3w-0Ltupc9YVBYFPWk&pp=iAQB

This game was... refreshingly Human! There's indecision, mistakes, awkward moments, fear of the future, and more all neatly packed into this short but sweet visual novel <3 Many games today are very out of the box and... disconnected from Humanity, but this one was just so Human and the story was great. The art was beautiful and the characters were relatable. I was super excited upon first hearing about the game and was thrilled to have played it and discovered all the endings. There are also a lot of good references in there too! Don't think I didn't see that Blink-182!!!! Anyways! Amazing game, and I highly recommend it!

A very artistic and emotional visual novel about a slice of life/love story between two aspiring artists. The story is told using hand-drawn sceneries interposed with black and white RL short videos. There are no voice overs, but the accompanying music is excellent (the game soundtrack can be found in the install folder) and renders perfectly the current mood in the game. (Some of the musicians have also worked on other games like Burnhouse Lane, Lorelei...) The game has multiple endings, or at least 3 given the achievements list. A first playthrough took me about 1 hour. And each time we complete the game, we are able to unlock some extra game content (drawings, game art, additional ending...). This was a very intriguing game to play, and if you are interested in art in games, you should definitely try it.

Games like this are the heart of indie -- bold, creative, and eccentric with a soul that a triple-A game would never have, in its art, story, and overall presentation alike. Aside from an aversion to commas in the writing, it all feels smooth and professional. The art style is absolutely perfect for the game, and all sorts of visual effects add significantly to the overall feel and immersion of the story. The characters' awkwardness is well written, too. Overall, an underrated indie masterpiece. Love it. Just one problem: I absolutely cannot, for the life of me, get anything but Ending #2. I've played the game so many times at this point, making every possible choice, and it's always the exact same. Achievement percentages indicate that 30%+ other people can get the other endings, so I have no idea what's wrong with me (I am very sleep-deprived at the moment, but still, wtf). That's really disappointing because I really wanted to see the other endings, too.
