Tomb Raider is my all time favorite game series, even the classic 2000s games. Lara has always had a big impact on me growing up and having these games as an adult is everything I could want and more, plus the game is GOOD, I cant wait to finish this one and play the other two.

Played this in 2025 after it had been sitting in my library for a decade. The overall plot is pretty forgettable, but they do a good job setting up the character. Gameplay is great. It's a light, but tense action game that knows its best to keep you moving at all times. Playing it post something like the modern EA Jedi games and I'm surprised at how much I prefered the platforming bits in Tomb Raider.

At first, I wasn't sure if I would be able to recommend Tomb Raider. It's a game that takes a little while to draw you in right, and I wasn't fully sold for the first few minutes. The longer I played it, though, the more addictive it became. The game is wonderful at making you feel that you're embarking on an actual adventure, and though there are some bugs here and there, they're not taking away from the experience. The starting of the game is slow, like many games that take time to pick up, but after that, it becomes really exciting. The game only intensifies more and more, and next thing I knew, I was completely immersed in what's happening. The characters are believable, and how the story unfolds makes you wish to keep on playing just to see what's ahead. Other than the story, the gameplay is equally entertaining. Exploration of the world is satisfying, and the mix of climbing, fighting, and problem-solving keeps you hooked. Each place has a sense of distinctness, and the world is rich in little details that create the illusion of life. Whether climbing cliffs, creeping through enemy camps, or digging up hidden secrets, there's always something new to experience. The fighting is slick and enjoyable, the action sequences are intense, and the puzzles are nicely balanced between being challenging and enjoyable. Even during its slower sections, the game keeps you engaged by letting you absorb the world and learn more about the story. At the end, I was surprised by how much I had been drawn into the experience. The game isn't action-based—it makes you feel like you're connected to something bigger. If you are looking for a game with good narrative, engaging gameplay, and a world that is compelling, this one is definitely worth playing.

I love the Tomb Raider franchise. It was the first game that got me into gaming. So when I heard they were doing a reboot, I was a little sceptical but excited. When I played this, I was surprised by this new, young, fragile Lara. Seeing her grow into the character and become strong and become this amazing, strong character made this one of my favourite games. I’ve played this so many times because I just wanted to know all the details from the story. I loved this story and her character progression. Yes, I love the old Lara, but seeing her being vulnerable like this was different but so good.

Great climbing and shooting mechanics. For a game from 2013, it is worth playing, even 12 years later

Tomb Raider is truly a fantastical game,, if I could wipe off my memory, I would do so only to play this game again. From the very beginning this game had me hooked and the whole journey from beginning to end was majestic. I could actually feel a connection to Lara because of how her character development takes place, from the very first hour you get to know who Lara is, what she does, and why is she doing all of this.. The whole script of the game was so well curated. The timing of things, when it happened, why it happened all the questions are answered, if only one is patient enough.
Lara croft should be the face of feminism the girl can practically do anything.. Kill people who hurt her or her friends.... patch herself if she gets injured... she fails, cries, falls but then stands up on her own, and most importantly she never backs down. Truly an "ONE WOMAN ARMY", ALSO LARA CROFT IS A BEAUTY ;)
There are cons to this game as well such as the gun-play will not feel good at all, the guns practically float when one tries to aim.. but hey, have we even used the guns? as for me I killed almost everyone with the bow.. The bow is her trademark weapon and also she looks hot while wielding a bow. The game is practically perfect and the story is also very well written, anyone who still hasn't played should really give this game a try.
Highly recommended: 100/10
