Honestly? This game surprised me. Outside of the horrible translation and weird texts at times, the game itself is solid. This is basically a mix of Rune Factory with Terraria/Minecraft. TL;DR: This game is a very rough gem that could use polishing, but the actual game itself is relatively complete and the general gameplay is fun. Highly recommend to pick up on a sale if you like a narrative driven action top-down RPG. The Great: - The game allows you customize how you equip your gear when venturing into the wild. There's many different styles of fighting that you can do with different modifiers. - The NPC's have personality and are actually expressive. Relationship management goes a long way because you can unlock recipes that buff you. - There's always something to do, you can set up a routine for yourself, but you also don't need to. - The story is pretty dynamic and caught me off guard a couple of times. Some parts are slow on purpose to ramp up to a small climax and you get to basically witness how life in this new region works. The Good: - The music actually surprised me. From the OST's to the sound effects, they were pretty solid and blended wel. - The farming isn't very hard and the game lets you have the farm grow by itself after seeding it fairly early into the game. Which also translates to the money being relatively easy to grind and it scales well into the end-game. - Your character is a silent protagonist, but the author of the story managed to write them in so that they play a very active part in the cutscenes. There's blood and some parts touch upon self-defense/murder occurring from other major characters. The Bad: - This game has god awful translation in like 33% of the cutscenes. It felt like the devs took Google Translate and used it on the original CN script. Some sentences won't make any sense, and others are confusingly vague. - Early game, your biggest struggle is time management and it will suck until you unlock a vast amount of energy to fast travel.
