I got about 6-8 hours of play out of this. The visuals and sounds are great and the puzzles are just the right amount of frustrating imo. I know I would enjoy this game just as much the second time if I wait long enough and forget the solutions.

Its hard to not compare it with The Room. But the game itself its pretty good. The mechanic animation is alright. Its a relaxing game so the puzzle is pretty easy. If you want hard puzzle games try (the black watchman), (cypher) or (return of the obra dinn).

Fantastic graphics. Fascinating to watch the way everything unfolds. Puzzles not that hard but that is hardly the point.

A great way to pass the time. I think you can get it in 5-6 hours of gameplay. Transitions are smooth. Graphics are pretty awesome and the puzzles get harder by the level. Can't I did not use the hint button once or twice, but that's what it's there for, right? Totally worth it, to get your mind off of things.

A decent puzzle game that has a similar feeling to The Room series. Not quite as polished as those, but the setting and bones of the story were interesting.

It's very pretty and polished, and enjoyable from that point of view, but there's not much of a puzzle. It feels like an autoscroller.

Boxes: Lost Fragments is very similar to the "The Room" series, more particularly the first game which consisted of a series of boxes to open with intuitive mysteries to solve. In Boxes: Lost Fragments, there are 12 boxes to go through each with their own riddles and theme. The problems are original, and the boxes are beautiful as well as quite satisfying to open. 9/10 since the story is a bit lacking and seems a bit copied from The Room series.

Boxes: Lost Fragments is a puzzle game where your goal in each puzzle chamber is to open an elaborately designed puzzle box.
You’ll need to press buttons or slide levers to open hidden panels, revealing items which can be placed into gaps somewhere else on the box. And you’ll need to solve smaller puzzles by matching symbols or colours, finding codes to input on locks, arranging items in their correct positions, and sliding blocks to complete pictures.
It took me 4.5 hours to complete the game. There’s a hint system if you get stuck, but while some puzzles took a while to actually solve, it was usually easy to understand what needed to be done. I didn’t have any problems with bugs or crashes.
The one criticism I would make is that the game lacks feedback to indicate when an object can be interacted with, for example by changing the mouse pointer when you hover over something important. This means its not always easy to identify if a particular jewel or knob is relevant or just a decoration until you’ve tried to click and drag it in every direction.
Fans of similar puzzle games, such as The Room franchise, will probably enjoy Boxes. I think its better than the developer’s previous game, Doors: Paradox (which I played on another store), and its worth picking up on a sale.
