Forget about furious running and shooting this is RPG Sam... Walk around the map and fight some random encounters. Gameplay is somewhat turn based and each action takes one turn. You can choose between shooting, swapping weapons or using an item. While in action phase you're able to dodge incoming enemies and bullets by going up or down. Music feels a bit melancholic but it's not the main con. What drives me insane are encounters which happen too frequently. On top of that gameplay gets repetitive very quickly as you choose similar strategy most of the time. At least you don't have to worry about ammo which basically is infinite for each weapon. Along the way you will experience some humorous dialogs and collect random keys to unlock next areas. Each stage have some sort of boss battle at the end. Basically game feels like an old dungeon crawlers with turn based strategy fights in the vein of RPG games. I think this game is not that serious. 5/10 still if you like Serious Sam you might wanna check it out and complete.
