IKYFL with this insanely buggy game. The developer of this game I believe made this on their own (kudos to you), but so did the developer of Stardew Valley and his games are not as buggy as this piece of poo game called "Gourdlets". If you are going to create a game, actually make it playable. I spend time decorating the interior of a house just for it to disappear as soon as I exit the home. The Gourdlets take absolutely long to mature no matter how much stuff I put in my world. This game is not it.

I was surprised there is no challenge to the game, respectfully. I thought it would encourage you to seek resources to grow like starting with a store to make income to pay for buildings and bring in more people to your island. It is not for me because I like a little challenge like Miami lane (little challenges but nothing too crazy). So this wasn't for me, but maybe it could be for you! I think if you just like the designing of The Sims or animal crossing it'd be perfect for you.

I would rate this game. It's fun, cute, and lovely to play while chatting with friends or listening to a podcast.

I am surprised how fun this game is for how cheap it is. I started the game, and just kept decorating the island for 3 hours! I am hooked and will be recommending this to everyone who wants a chill, no rush, creative game!

It's a cute game and I think it can be a lot of fun when you're into city building. It's cute and cozy, I like the music, the aesthetic and especially the fact that you can make guestlists for each house :P Personally I found it a bit boring tho, since everything is free and there is no real goal.

Though charming, the playability needs work. Most of the time there is nothing to do, all you do is wait for the train to arrive with a new item. The decorating is very limited, especially outside. I think one of the biggest improvements would be to allow inside items outside. The styles are also limited. Yes, it very chill but it just gets boring after seeng all of the furniture intaractions. Needs an update to be worth buying.

I would rate the game 4/5. The game is cozy and relaxing, but it's still in development, so it's currently lacking some content and has a few bugs. The biggest downside is that some furniture pieces don't have a color change option. Other than that, the game is amazing and it never gets boring. You can customize your Gourdlets and watch them roam through the world you build. The building process includes everything from creating land and islands to designing the interior of houses. I especially like the concept of building both "outside" and "inside." I usually enjoy playing The Sims 4, and my favorite aspect of that game is the building mode. Unlike The Sims, I can play this game while watching a show or doing something else on my laptop, as it requires less focus. The game's price is reasonable, and I don’t regret my purchase. I knew as much going in and am generally charmed by indie devs who share pet photos in updates, so I'm happy with this purchase. I occasionally leave it running in a corner of my screen like an idler; there's something uplifting about seeing a glowing squash roasting marshmallows in the ruins or a dude in a funny hat sunbathing on the beach. If any of this sounds right for you, then definitely give it a whirl.
