Pirates Things is another boring, monotonous, uninteresting
hidden object game.

In general, a good interesting three-dimensional puzzle with the search for objects in the entourage of a pirate city.

I realize this is a lame critique of a game that costs this little.
This game is 100% solid hidden object game.
The environment is really good and shows a lot of work on behalf of whoever decorated the level.
I enjoyed this a great deal and look forward to playing the other games in this series when I am finished.
If you like hidden object games this is not one miss.
My only real complaint is that there are no options as far as anything but the music is concerned and that one is binary. For a game this inexpensive I feel that even that complaint is not warranted.
I would pay more for this game if it did have some more options like key rebinding keys, resolution, mouse zoom, mouse invert, etc.
Speaking of the controls... as they are very intuitive. WASD to move, mouse to turn, middle mouse button to rotate the camera and mouse wheel scroll to zoom in and out. Then left click on the item and that's all you need to do.
I don't like using WASD. I prefer the arrow keys but as a stated, it was not an option.

A simple atmospheric 3D puzzle game with pretty nice locations. And while I'd be happy with the steam achievements, it's worth remembering that this is a very cheap game.

I purchased this game on sale for maybe $2 and expected next to nothing but I was still left disappointed. The gameplay experience itself was so far from what I would have enjoyed that I feel compelled to write a review. I'd describe it as frantic and annoying. Instead of a check-list style set of multiple objectives you're tasked with finding objects one-at-a-time. Find one parrot. Now find an anchor. Now find another parrot. Now find a third parrot. It ends up not feeling like a relaxing, casual point-and-click hidden object game. Which isn't helped by the fact that the camera flies across the map very quickly. If you want a 3D hidden object game that can be played at hyperspeed and encourages you to go fast, this might appeal to you. But that certainly wasn't what I was looking for. I thought the visuals were nice but that's the only kind thing I can say, really.

I thought that the idea looked cool and the graphics look appealing, so got the game and its sibling at a sale.
Both of the games suffer from the same flaws. The camera controls are horrendous. Even thought you have to find stuff in the edges of the map, you can only circle around a fixed point in the middle of the map. On top of this, they add a mist if you zoom out.
You have to find a bunch of objects. They write "similar to" but they have to be exactly what they show. Items are often small and hidden inside parts of the landscape, so you have to be lucky to find them with a mouse-over, which outlines them.
There are a bunch of different objects to find, but if you get stuck on one you cannot switch to another, which can be frustrating. From what I have been able to tell, the order you are asked to find the items is random for each play through.
There is no hint function and no possibility to save progress and no instructions on how scoring works (seems that you get penalized for missed clicks). Object placement seems random and not suiting where they would normally be in a landscape, so no help there.
Hidden object games are supposed to be relaxing, but this quickly led to frustration.
