I love and hate this game.
Bugs get in the way. Rushing through some of the phone inputs bugged out my call. I frequently couldn’t put the cd-rom in the disc drive, it would just access the computer screen.
The action sequences were not fun. The last one was just boring.
Making the list of information I needed and figuring out the routine was delightful. It was like a mix of a classic escape room puzzling and the data deduction from newer games like Case of the Golden Idol.
The art and humor are perfect. I laughed a bit at several of the gags the first time I encountered them, but not so much the fifth or sixth time.
Comedically antagonizing the player was the entire point according to the dev. It’s fun for a while. If one piece of information evades you it will get tiring. Expect to restart a lot until you wrap your head around everything (or because a bug pops up).
