Gotta love survival modes, when you just want to immediately get into the meat of the game.

I never loved endless enemy waves type of gameplay. But this is something else. It's a lot of physical fun without interruptions. You just crush monsters, upgrade weapons, balance your health and occasionally perform random challenges. Some traits you can choose are perfect for endless survival, e.g. refunding shotgun ammo on kills, strong melee strikes, rising max health and so on. On 5th try I survived 60 waves, got a million score, got almost all achievements and the gold medal.
Highly recommend for all who struggle with the battles in story mode like me. Tried to start max security and it was hard. I couldn't get the feeling of dodging because of constant dying and starting from checkpoints. Riot mode allows you to understand every type of enemy and every weapon. And the most important in this game - how dodging works. And the battles are really very satisfying for me. Will definitely start the story mode again with my new knowledge.
Some important advices:
1. Save berserk mode for two headed guys. They are vere hard to kill when it's not one-shot mode.
2. Around 40-th wave start investing into health injectors, you will need them if you want to survive more. Waves are longer and store points reset after end of the wave only.
P.S. Green hazard skin fits perfectly for this mode and looks just great.

This should be a free update to add more value and replay ability but it's locked behind the paywall :^) Get the deluexe game on discounted because is worth it to get it and I hope will be even better when they launch story DLC :^)
Just another case of wasted potential.
I will keep it short.
Generaly speaking this DLC is fun, but it's way too easy and barebones. It's like they didn't even try to add content and some sense of difficulty.
I reached wave 50+ on my second try, but literally just killed myself because there was nothing else to achieve. (And i would've reached it the first time, but i died to my own trap, lol)
It wasn't even hard, but rather the pure definition of boredom.
You only get an achivement for reaching level 50, after that it's basically just "Play until you die of boredom". It's literally ONLY ONE SMALL LOCATION with the same few repeating sub-objectives. It doesn't even get harder. Because of the way this mode works, it makes it a breeze for literally anyone.
After i died in my first try, i had all perks unlocked and ready for activation on my second run aswell, even though i wasn't that far at the first time.
There aren't even global leaderboards, at least i saw none.
So yea, thumbs down from me. This DLC was just lazy and had even more wasted potential than the final Transmission DLC.

It's okay, I guess. It was kinda fun for half an hour. But I don’t really see the point in such game modes, and it certainly didn’t save The Callisto Protocol for me.

idk what the hell people are saying about this mode, but i can tell you it's much better than the main game, hell it's even better than that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ contagion mode. i mean who the ♥♥♥♥ would pay for death animations when you can pay for amazing executions to pull off at the monsters that have humiliated you months ago?
Riot mode still has flaws however, but another thing i can tell you is that it's the best dlc and it's very much worth it.

This is easily the best part of this game. I had more fun with this DLC than the entirety of the base game. Its very simple, you're thrown into an arena with different rooms. Best comparison I can make is COD Zombies in that aspect. You fight waves of enemies. You use credits which are gained through fighting and surviving through waves and completing sub challenges like "survive the wave while taking zero damage." The HUD mechanic kinda sucks, there's like crate icons everywhere and you have to memorize where everything is. The crates serve as weapon boxes, upgrade stations, and ammo refills essentially all in one. There are med stations and GRP pack cabinets as well although they are not marked. There are explosive barrels, "throwables," and environmental hazards you can use against enemies. It's good "mindless fun."
I do think it suffers from the same achilles heel that the base game suffers from: core combat. It's just kinda silly... I was on wave 30 something and I found myself surrounded by like 6 or 7 enemies. They politely waited their turn to attack me and I A-D, A-D strafed them all to death rather easily.
Some other issues I had with this mode is that there are "rooms" that are separated by doors that enemies can't pass through. So as soon as you pass through the door threshold enemies will instantly turn around and bee line for the nearest vent and pop up in the room or corridor you're standing in-in a matter of seconds. I get that this is to prevent "training" or to encourage you to stand your ground or prevent you from simply running away but its very immersion breaking. I also hate that there's no safe room or at the very least a longer time between waves. This means if you're out of ammo or health you're kinda just SOL until you fight your way to where you need to go or you complete a challenge that rewards either of the two. My last gripe is that this mode is just too easy to the point it becomes boring. I looked at my trophies and at the time of writing 2.5% of players had the "dismember 100 enemies" trophy. However, only like .2% of players had the "finish a riot mode match" trophy... which you only get by dying AFAIK. I got to wave 57 on my first try and the only reason I died is because I started getting bored so I stopped healing and only used melee. I ended up getting gunned down by the security bot when I was out in the open with my pants down.
All in all, its good "mindless fun" type of game mode that can pass a lot of time. It does get boring, and it is way too easy IMO.

I Pre-Purchased The Callisto Protocol™ - Digital Deluxe Edition;
And as we can see from the description of Season Pass:
"The Season Pass includes Riot Bundle"
But now when the Riot Bundle is released, it is not in my library.
When I enter the store page it only shows me "Add to Cart"
Why the hell I need to charge again for the things I should have had ?
I have no idea why this happened, and I find this kind of feeling sucks;
It's like someone gave me a promise, and I was looking forward to it, but in the end I didn't get anything.
I don't understand what the DEVELOPER or PUBLISHER want from our players, who charged money for the game.
Sorry guys I buy this DLC just to write this review,
It has nothing to do with the gameplay included in this DLC.
Now I am gonna to refund it.

If you buy this game for any reason, buy it for this.
It takes out all the vent crawling, ladder climbing, and other fluff of the base game and replaces it all with what it was best at doing.
Bashing skulls.
