My Experience I played Samurai Solitaire. Return of the Ronin on my Steam Deck, and the experience was...ok. You can use the touchpad as a mouse to navigate menus and the level select screen, and then use the touchscreen to play the actual levels. This worked fairly well, although when I used the "in-game helpers" (as they are called in the game's description), the tooltips informing me of their effects would display on the screen until the end of the level. Because the game isn't designed for such a small screen, it can be difficult to navigate your cursor to just the correct spot to select the level you want to play. Additionally, it can be challenging to see how many stars you've earned on each level, as everything is sort of pushed together. Although the game doesn't purport to be playable on Steam Deck, I still thought the above details could be useful to a potential player or two. The game itself is quite similar to the previous title in the series, Samurai Solitaire. Threads of Fate. I don't understand why developer DigiMight insists on using a period when a colon would be better suited in the titles of these games. The story is negligible, and the gameplay is identical to almost every other DigiMight +1/-1 solitaire game. I honestly found playing this particular solitaire title to be pretty annoying. Multiple card effects (pink bubbles and flowered vines) remove the card that you're currently using to create a chain of plays, and there is another card effect that, unless the card is removed from the board, will remove cards from your deck at regular intervals. These effects combine to make the player feel somewhat impotent and helpless. Luckily, the in-game helpers allow the player to remove many cards from the board to try and offset these irritations. Once you've fully upgraded them, you can use them to remove at minimum 8 additional cards from the board after you've exhausted your deck (there's the potential to remove even more, depending on the board layout and the card received from activating the yellow "fan" helper). Often, I'd have cards unceremoniously ripped from the top and bottom of my deck while playing one of the more challenging levels, only to lean on these helpers after my deck was exhausted to actually finish clearing the board. To be honest, I probably wouldn't recommend playing Samurai Solitaire. Return of the Ronin. Unless you just need more +1/-1 solitaire levels at any cost, there are much better titles out there that are less frustrating.

A nice, little +1/-1 solitaire game with a Japanese theme. I particularly like that you can make progress even if you don't complete a level. It's a good pick for some casual gaming.
