Merge Beasts - Defense Game Reviews

Not really sure what the devs were thinking with this one. The concept is solid (tower defense meets idle merger) but the execution is sloppy. It's clearly unfinished and that's why it sucks. Artwork is decent, gameplay is solid, but the sound is terrible and the progression is what truly breaks it. There are only 4 units to choose from and none of them are particularly helpful. The game is split up into different parts with the DLC included when it should have been one cohesive experience instead of 3. I have checked the developer page and they seem to take this approach to their other games as well. These titles reek of lazy asset flips and unfinished ideas. I played for nearly 2 hours and nothing really changed or became interesting. I would avoid this one and all the others this developer has to offer. Just because something is priced low does not mean it should be low quality. Edit: Forgot to mention there are also numerous bugs in this game that break progression. I was warped ahead 12 levels for no reason and it made my units severely underpowered. As said before, this game is severely unfinished and needs to be fixed before it can be reconsidered.
