It is a one trick pony, but that pony's trick is pretty good. Like a horse that speaks French.
Mechanically really shallow. Never gets boring making the blood bugs into a red mist, but it does get boring fighting the same boss type enemies hundreds of times to farm crystals. The map itself only has two possible events marked by the ? on the UI. The first is a pillar that you just have to survive within a radius to get a moderate amount of crystals. The second is a crashed ship which is like a chest. It can either have a swarm of small bugs or a lot of crystals in it. The only other thing is the game throwing waves of bugs at the player. And those things are the game.
The game has some pretty aggressive auto-targeting which is fine since there is so many shots and so many targets to hit, but it limits the target selection to what is on screen. Initially that doesn't seem like an issue, aside from the fact that bosses are larger and larger, taking up a good portion of the screen. So one has to keep them at the edge of the screen to avoid their powerful melee attacks, which makes the targeting not see them as an option at times.
This game really makes me want this merged with Genesis Alpha One and made by Exor Studio (they have the chops for this). That'd be a stellar game.

Concept is fine, but game is as deep as a puddle. Balancing is also waaaay off.

If you love mechs and hate bugs, this is perfect on sale!
Quite a short game though but can be finished in 5 hours.

Fly around, kill bugs, level up, upgrade stats.
For anyone looking to 100% this game and the 'Kill 1,000,000 insects' achievement looks intimidating once you beat one of the bosses that spawn when you destroy an egg instead of destroying it, stand at 100m within its range and an infinite amount of insects will spawn.
Good luck 👍
