Very fun rogue lite spell/deck building game. Just enough different to make it feel fresh yet still scratch that familiar itch!

Only played for a couple hours so far, but it seems like a well-polished STS clone with a few new elements, like dice-rolling and limited deck size. I've been enjoying it so far.

Great game. I love slay the spire, balatro, dungeons and degenerate gamblers, but this game has something special. Lots of complex synergies and lots of fun acheivements. Also consistent updates past 1.0. 10/10 still going strong

Orb of infinity is complete crap, get hard countered because the wound trap is a 6 this time and my whole build is rolling 5/6s, bs enemy
Its overwheleming trying to find a build at the start of runs, and then keep not finding stuff that meshes, the I just have a mediocre hodgepodge of spells that dont feel satisfying to combo consistently

Great looking game (for the most part), but there's something missing for me.
Lacks the mystery and story of Inscryption, doesn't have the charm of something like Wildfrost, and isn't as "manageable" or entertaining as Monster Train.
Spells lack variety
So many of them with not much difference between them, basically making the game less interesting.
Kinda hard to understand
I've played 22 hours and I'm still unsure of what the usefulness of this one is, why would I want to use that one, etc.
Game looks good, but...
Overall the game looks really nice. The characters, the enemies, the animations, all very good. HOWEVER, some of the more interesting aspects or Rogue trader games are usually the spells and artifacts. It's exciting when you get a new one and part of that is how it looks. Unfortunately, SpellRogue's design leaves very little room for the spell's image, which makes them unmemorable and often very similar. And the artifacts, oof. Smallish icons with very little details (no room) and sort of a hand drawn design. Making them not only dull, but kind of don't fit the rest of the game's visual style.
All in all, I had high hopes but I think I'm pretty much done with it already.

A fun dice game. (I took an interest in this game, after watching 'Retromation' play.)

I really like the pace of this game and the crazy builds you can craft. The art direction, music and UI are all well designed. The updates have all been great as they keep expanding the game. One of my favorites on the steam deck.

A fun roguelite that looks like a card game but is actually a fun take on using dice. You have abilities which require certain dice rolls to activate and you roll dice each turn and decide how to slot them in. There are 4 characters, each with their own unique skills/themes you can build around and each character typically has several different mechanics of their own they can use.
There are quite a few unlocks you can get through each run in the form of new abilities and artifacts, as well as starting options for each character. Runs do take a while though and it can feel a bit grindy to unlock the later levels for each character. That said, the gameplay is very fun and once you get a build working properly you can get some crazy combos that trigger over and over again, which is really satisfying. If you enjoy this genre of game this is definitely one of the better ones to play.

I like it, it's like a 'Dicey Dungeons' but with better graphics. Typical game play for a roguelite deck builder, with scaling difficulty, different heroes, etc. You roll dice and use the dice to then cast spells and stuff. Actually enjoyable game play, daily challenges with leaderboards, etc.

Amazing, simply amazing roguelike. Blends best parts of Slay the Spire with unique dice based spell system.
Highlights of SpellRogue which puts it ahead of other StS-likes (even StS itself):
- Having all the spells all the time (not drawing them like cards) gives you more control on the way you want to play each turn and react to enemies' behaviour in battle.
- Contrary to initial thought - dices don't increase RNG, quite the opposite, the system of rerolling and "banking" your dices in spells for future turns make it more predictable and strategic. Playing your deck and combos feel consistent throughout turns.
- Exchanging spells from your inventory between battles (kind of side deck) gives you opportunities to change your gameplan during the run and lets you prepare for specific bosses which you can see ahead.
- Each spell (apart from two starter ones) is upgradable not in one, but in two different ways, changing playstyle of a spell. And it's not only some generic +1 dmg or -1 mana cost, but it gives you other abilities, change the way you pay for the spell, give charges or additional effects when depleting the spell. It gives you so much versatility and adaptability.
There are many more things I really like about the game, but those above should convince you enough to buy it anyway :D
