An FPS take on Hotline Miami is exactly what I needed, and anger foot delivers. I did not know anything about this game before going in, except for a couple of shots I saw in a games I played in 2025 video. Looked cool so I said fuck it why not.
The gameplay is as said before, just like HM but in 3D. You kick open doors and any unfortunate fella standing behind the door gets decimated and then you clean up the rest of the room. You kick guy with gun, you get the gun, you shoot the gun, you run out of ammo, you throw the gun at guy, you stun the guy, you go and kick the guy and so the loop goes on and on.
In my opinion, this formula works better in Anger foot because you don't get to see what's in the next room. Everyone dies in one hit so you gotta think as fast as you can shoot. Guns feel punchy enough and do the job although I do feel like the game could've used some better abilities on the shoes. The chargers are way too OP and unless there's a gimmick challenge that needs me to take them off, I have no reason to part with them.
The structure of the game is pretty simple. You have four (technically 5) zones with about 15 levels each totaling in 64 levels. At the end of each zone is a boss fight with 3 phases, which is somehow easier than a regular level. There are also neutral levels in between the regular levels which serve to build the world a bit.
The game definitely shines in the challenges presented in each level, but they can also be really really annoying. My favorite are the ones that want you to finish a level fast but also make sure there are no survivors as completing these really makes me feel like I have perfected that level and I think this challenge should exist for every level. Least favorite one has to be the gimmick ones like the ignite a certain number of goons or the kill x goons with kicks. These are just annoying. The gimmick ones, I'm neutral about because on one hand they make me use shoes I wouldn't otherwise use but on the other hand, that is not an excuse to make the abilities on the shoes so situational.
The story in the game is basically non-existent. It's kinda like the devs had nothing to say through the story and just used it as a blank canvas to paint as many stupid doodles of dicks and farts as they could fit. The game seems to think it's a lot funnier than it actually is for sure and I personally struggle to remember a time when this game induced any more than a chuckle from me.
Something that bugs me a lot is the performance issues this game suffers from. Playing this game on an RTX 2080 and it still manages to dip below 10 fps at times. The average sits at about 60 which is not expected of a game that absolutely doesn't look like it should be this demanding. The devs added an achievement for making the framerate dip below 20 fps for god's sake like the lack of self awareness is crazy. I didn't even have to hunt for that achievement so if your PC is worse than mine, it might just be the first one that pops.
Despite all of this, Anger Foot has a gameplay loop that is fun and addictive. The game is reasonably priced and gave me 22 hours of (mostly) frustration free dopamine so I would say it's a good buy on a sale.

Somewhere between the frantic violence and rewarding gameplay loop of Hotline Miami, the attitude and aesthetic of early side scrolling beat-em-ups and the fast paced FPS action of modern boomer shooters lies Anger Foot. An absolute must play game.

The controversy surrounding Quentin Tarantino and Salma Hayek stems from a scene in From Dusk Till Dawn where Tarantino, who wrote the screenplay and also appears in the film, wrote a scene where his character drinks tequila poured down Salma Hayek's leg, and then sucks on her toes.

Great game for all of my fellow frequenters of wikiFeet. Fantastic attention to detail, right down to the bandaids. Really shows off the natural beauty without makeup or pedicures. Didn't even have to make it past the first level, got straight to the action.

This is the most fun I've had since Hotline Miami 1. Great OST, easy to run (RX 580 user at the time of this review), hilarious story and dialogue, amazing graphics, and most of all fantastic gameplay. If you have $24 to spend or you found this on sale and you're into fast paced gameplay, I can't recommend it enough.

Gameplay-wise it's pretty close to Hotline Miami, but with fewer unlockables. However, that's where the similarities end. The story and overall tone of the game is far goofier, stranger, and honestly grosser. It's a fun game that slowly introduces weapons and enemies until the final main chapter, and on the flipside, you'll have all the unlockable shoes with a bit of effort before the second chapter is even over. A little bit more of a spread would've been appreciated, and I do think the game is overly reliant on gimmick challenges to make things interesting.

it is really good, but it is also really brutal. Like, super hard. Jesus. No wonder hardly anyone has completed the second map :)

That's pretty much FPS Hotline Miami with its pros and cons. The game is dope just like the soundtrack. Overall I liked the game.
There are like ~50 levels, most of them are pretty much run and kill. Each level has 3 challenges that you can complete. You get a star for each completed challenge. There are easy ones and there are very annoying ones, cause they are based on randomness, but only few of them are like that.
It has a nice variety of enemies with such a short length. Each enemy needs a different killing approach but you can also ignore that and just kick each and every enemy. The enemies kill you in 1-2 hits, but that's fair, because you can also kill them in 1-2 hits.
The bosses are pretty fun, the best one was the first boss. The other ones are also nice, but one thing that annoyed me is that when you die you have to go again trough the whole battle and wait for the animations and so on, because the battles are pretty much scripted. You do 2-3 hits and then the boss changes the phase. You can only do a fixed amount of damage to the boss.
Throughout the game you collect sneakers. You open them by collecting the stars mentioned above. They give you different abilities. There is one that makes you smaller, there's another that makes the head of the enemies bigger, there are ones that give you interesting abilities like doors exploding when you kicking them, and there are just funny ones. Most of the sneakers are useless, some of them you would use only to complete challenges, but there are few great ones, that are pretty fun to play with.
The story is pretty basic, but the main point of the game is the gameplay, but even though the story is basic, here and there you'd find funny memes either by going trough the level or by talking to the NPCs.
So, if you're into Hotline Miami, don't wait much and just KICK THAT DOOR. DU DU DU DU DU DU

1) This game has STYLE.
2) It is HARD. (even with everything easier assist mode)
3) The world you run and foot through is pretty IMMERSIVE.
4) Game play and control (along with frame rate) is TIGHT.
5) It is just straight up fun.
SHIT/10 would recommend.
