Anger Foot is a very enjoyable and especially silly first person shooter that in a similar vein to Hotline Miami emphasizes speed and efficiency over directly difficult level design! The loud soundtrack and equally in your face art style help accentuate a chaotic energy throughout each stage which only further helps the general gameplay! The wide range of both weaponry and shoes that you can choose from during your playtime are center-stage, and they compliment each other very well as it's clear there was a passion behind the core of the game's development! The level design is also especially well done with the only lackluster moments in the game unfortunately occurring during the few boss fights at the end of each district, as it's clear a focus was on the fast paced levels rather than the unfortunately slow and sometimes tedious bosses. The achievements can range for simple and comedic interactions to frustratingly difficult per-level challenges that can sometimes feel unfair with their balance. Thankfully however those minor instances of annoyance don't overpower what is a quite nice game to 100%! 9/10 to play | 8/10 to complete

The game is fun but the challenges are antithetical to the game's design. Challenges like complete the level without killing enemies or not using guns. I would have preferred all challenges be time and kill related like kill all enemies and finish the level in under 45 seconds or something. And there are a few like that but the only way to unlock new shoes (powers) is by doing these challenges which often slows down the game when its most fun going fast. Even the trailers try to show how fast past the game can be so its really frustrating how 3 staring each level goes against what is advertised.

When I first saw the gameplay trailer for Anger Foot, I thought the same thing I’m sure most people did: “This looks like a first-person Hotline Miami”. That was really all it took for me to get my foot in the door (no pun intended), but the game offers more than that which made me want to stay. I thought the plot was simple and funny in an over-the-top way as you play as a green man who lives in “Shit City”, who goes on a killing spree rampage hunting down different crime bosses who stole your precious sneaker collection. What’s a more classic tale than a hero who fights for a precious love that’s been taken from them? There are some other odd interactions both in levels and what are in-between levels that just add to the wackiness of this world. There are crocodile henchman with bats, dogs with uzis ( a cool name for a band maybe?), goons with hands for heads wielding shotguns, and other bizarre yet memorable adversaries. The whole aesthetic of this game is like Toontown meets the Mask comics, and I’m here for it! In fact, I think this game’s world would lend itself to be a perfect setting for a comic book or cartoon on adult swim, but I would be just as satisfied if there ever was a sequel. With a setting like this I feel we could just be scratching the surface. All in all I highly recommend you get this game, get your shoes, and get your kicks on! (pun intended)

Smooth fast gameplay, really fun and original art style and stupid funny violence. It's basically 3D Hotline Miami with more feet and hardbase. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3M38BqwGZg

Amazing, it's like Hotline Miami but an FPS. Very hard but easy to retry and very speedy pace.

Very fun game that takes inspiration from Hotline Miami (you can even find Jacket a couple times as an easter egg). Core gameplay is fluid and fast, and will make you feel like a John Wick badass at times. More fun comes from challenges, which change up the formula and make you think. Most of them are fun, except for a few that will make you want to uninstall (actually some of the most bs stuff I've ever experienced in a videogame). Completing levels and challenges unlock shoes, which give you certain abilities or activate certain things, like enemies having big heads, or kicking enemies restoring ammo, etc. Seeing what the next shoe would be was always interesting. Overall I would recommend.

Been following the game since the early itch.io versions and I've loved it ever since. It's always nice to show some support to the devs but 25€ for the content the game offers seems a bit high. Still a great game if you like doom-esque or fast paced shooters. If its on sale, go for it.

I loved, loved, LOVED the demo but the full product isn't what I was hoping it would be. The key problems arise almost immediately and I decided right then this game wouldn't be for me. The main issue is that the challenges to 3 Star a level are rarely fun and antithetical to what makes both the level and game itself fun: don't use the guns, don't blow up barrels, etc. When a level asks you to speed run and kill X enemies, that's where it shines. Instead, you get tons of levels immediately asking you to only use your foot, but you can't dodge or avoid damage in a way the game supports, so you're forced to stand in a doorway and spam the kick button. Fun. I also didn't expect the game to shoehorn an entire story and world building. I just wanna get my shoes back and kick/shoot people. While the end product itself is still as fun as the demo and the music helps you enter a flow state, I was ready to try to 3-Star each level but was immediately shown how unfun that was going to be. If everything was about speed and kill counts instead of arbitrary restrictions, this might've been one of my favorite indie games of last year.
