To play this game, start it from the steam library page. Click 'PLAY' and either it will start and let you move the mouse around on the menu, or it will crash and auto-minimize. If the game won't let you move the mouse and auto-minimizes instead of allowing you to move the mouse around on the menu, click 'STOP' then 'Confirm' and then click 'PLAY' again. Game seemed to start half the time and glitch half the time so I got the refund because I have no confidence that the game will allow me to play another day.
The game itself is an interesting puzzle. Not really sure about the narration. Make sure to tweak the graphics / size setting and not just hit maximize button on the window so that it loads your preferred window size and on preferred monitor if you have more than 1 monitor.
I cannot recommend the game at this time until the glitches are fixed.
Temple of Starlight
Temple of Starlight is a puzzle game with minimalist and stylized graphics that heavily focuses on mixing colors to complete the puzzles.
Gameplay
The core gameplay element of Temple of Starlight is mixing colors by activating pillars that shine primary colors in front of them. Later on, this simple but enjoyable concept is going to get a bit more complex, which makes some of the puzzles a bit more difficult.
Personal Note
As far as I’m aware, Temple of Starlight was the first game that Enlit Games made and for that it’s a pretty solid game with a unique setting and gameplay idea.
The story is easy to follow and the player can influence how the story proceeds throughout the game by making decisions which is neat and is probably enough to play through the game more than once.
Back in August or October, I played the Demo of Temple of Starlight and I enjoyed it back then already but the voice acting was a bit off, which makes sense because it is the first game this studio made, but I’m glad to see that the voice acting improved since then.
The overall art style of the game might seem very basic at first glance but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense to choose such a minimalistic and simple art style, since it doesn’t distract the player from the puzzles that heavily focus on mixing colors – so that’s honestly a good thing.
All things considered, the only thing that is somewhat negative in a very subjective way, is the length of the game. Don’t get me wrong, about two hours of playtime is decent for a puzzle game like this. Temple of Starlight offers 35 levels and some Halloween themed levels too, so there is a lot to do, but I would have loved to have a handful of more levels because I genuinely enjoyed it – so take this “negative point” with a grain of salt, alright?
Rating
Pros

Unique core gameplay idea

The art style fits to the vibe of the game

Interesting concept and design

Puzzle difficulty varies

The soundtrack fits

Cons

A bit short (1)
(1) As stated above, I enjoyed playing through the game and two hours of playtime is decent, I personally would have loved to play through another 35 levels because the puzzles just hit the sweet spot between easy and hard. That’s why it felt a bit short for me personally.
Conclusion
Is Temple of Starlight worth getting? I’d say so, yes – especially if you are into games that mainly focus on puzzles that vary in difficulty and get more complex later on.
It took me about two hours to finish the game which is quite alright for a game that focuses on puzzles and for the price of 4€ it was an enjoyable journey.
7.4 / 10

Highly enjoyable indie game, starts off pretty easy to teach the basic mechanics then ramps up the difficulty significantly and its much longer than what you'd expect from such a game.
Pros :
-Fun and rather difficult puzzles, purely physics based so sometimes you can beat them in ways that the developer did not intend.
-Teaches you about mixing light colours, something that I was not great at before this game
-Very similar to Anti-chamber in aesthetics and game play which is a compliment because that game rocks
-Has actual voice acting which is rare for indie games like this
Cons:
-Can't be played for long sessions at a time, I rarely get motion sick in games (But I did get motion sick in antichamber so it makes sense)
Overall highly recommended for the price.

I originally intended to only take a peek, but ended up playing through the entire game in one sitting.
Temple of Starlight is a puzzle game that is very approachable to non-puzzle players like myself, even though you may end up temporarily embarrassed as you forget how to mix, say, the color yellow, and need to consult your favorite flavor of search engine.
I echo other people's sentiment about the game hitting a good spot between simple puzzles and them being too frustrating. The difficulty slowly builds over time, and just when I thought it would approach the realm of impossibility for not so experienced puzzlers, it turns out I was actually approaching the end of the game! What I almost thought to be undoable only proved to be a challenge for the final few puzzles.
The story is interesting and easy to follow while leaving enough room for personal speculation. I didn't expect a game of this category to actually make me stop and think about my morals in order to decide which path to follow.
Also +1 for the music, as it reminded me of Outer Wilds as well. It's quiet, slow, and soothing, and fits right in with the rest of the atmosphere.
A good deal for such a low price. I will definitely be back shortly to collect the rest of the achievements! :)

Completed fully on Steam Deck.
Very short but very sweet puzzle game. My only "hiccup" with it is that puzzle difficulty doesn't go further (in the base game), so it felt a bit too easy. Halloween extra levels though were just right and felt good.
In general, can recommend!
P.S. The game can be completed under 2 hours, if you did, please support the developer and do not refund the game (even though Steam allows it)!

Randomly remembered I forgot to write a review for this game so here goes:
Temple of Starlight is the first game Enlit Games have released on Steam, and made sure it was a worthy first impression. The devs are really young and talented. Which truly shows in this game.
The concept is very creative; solving puzzles in dark areas by using lights and colors to your advantage, you actually need to think through the colors you need to combine to create new colors, which indirectly teaches color theory on top of being a fun and creative mechanic.
The story is interesting and leaves you questioning your morality with some critical choices to make. It's told in a beautiful 'show, don't tell' type of way where the environment resembles important events from the story. It's all very aesthetically pleasing and the art direction is something I don't think I've seen in a game before.
In short, absolute banger of an introduction from Enlit Games. I will definitely keep an eye on them and their future games and I can recommend everyone to do the same!

ENG: Minimalistic but attractive graphics, puzzles with lights of colors that follow a narrative, in which we make decisions (with consequences) and a homemade voice acting, the price is pretty good too. EDIT: I just beat the game through one of its endings and I am really impressed, it's a very good job. Buy it.

I love the game so far, love the bold colors and how this game lights up and keeps my attention. The low poly and art style is just BELLISSIMO. I also love the puzzles and the use of additive color theory to solve the puzzles. The sound... both sound effects and the background sound made my experience so amazing. The story and voice acting gives a higher immersion and brings you closer to the game, because each level has more cues about what is happening in the story and it is just oof!! Perfect game for the price. Can't wait to get all the achievements and can't wait to see more of Enlit Games!!
