MMD3 is better It removes Options for no reasons.. And in my opinion adds absolutely nothing worth 3/4 of mesh i tried to convert from mmd3 simply are broken af.. Stick with dmmd3

A great upgrade from DesktopMMD! If you need waifus and music on top of your desktop for all your viewing pleasures this is the place to start lol. Big up! I like it, but there are a lot of features missing and a lot of weird UI issues. First, I'd really like a way to start a dance without adding it to my playlist. Every time you click on a dance it adds it. That's just annoying. I'd also love to see a 'personality' feature. Imagine being able to select a personality for a model, then having that model periodically act out different movements and react to things happening on the computer. Dances could be cued up for when music plays, they could sit down, stand up, stretch, play with props if certain games are running. These are all things that could be implemented and would make the app way more useful. At the moment, all you get is dancing and not dancing based on what setting you picked. It's cool, but more of a toy than something I'd like hanging out on my screen all the time. It just needs more life.

better than desktop magic engine. cleaner UI, the models watch your mouse, poses are a nice feature. Idle/roaming behavior packs would be a good addition

Very nice. Would like to see the features of DesktopMMD3 and DesktopMMD4 combined as both have excellent features. MMD4 has 3 channels for 3 different models in Theater mode but can only load New Models in PMX/PMD format. And MMD3 can load New Models in PMX/PMX and VRM which means I don't have to convert my VRM files into PMX. Both can have a preview picture for the new model but only in JPG. But VRM to PMX converters create PNG images. Requests for next iteration or update. PNG as well as JPG images. Ability to load VRM's as well as PMX's.

This is very close to perfect. This version allows you to upload VMD files directly to the software without the need of conversion. On top of that it also allows you to switch from a 2d style to 3d style with ease. I can only recommend this for everyone to at least try out as it's very well worth it.

The first DesktopMMD runs smoothly at 60 fps even when 18 models are dancing on my "live wallpapered display". I have quite the specs but for some reason, I'm stuck with rough moving models with MMD4 even if I set it on 60 fps. No shadow, no idle animations and several bugs especially with the poses. Yup, it's not worth it.

This is just an MMD player as it stands right now and I can't recommend it unless that's exactly what you want. Previous iterations at least had idle movement and some interactions, but this one is very focused on playing MMD content and lacks that kind of features. Be warned, it's not audio responsive either and it heavily depends on comunity content and VMD files that you can load into it.
