Railbound is what I've now come to recognise as a typical Afterburn puzzle game. Simple but very nice visuals, relaxing music which is better turned off for longer puzzles, pleasantly tactile interface, interesting puzzle mechanics that sometimes outstay their welcome a bit, and a boatload of levels. Railbound outdoes the "formula" in two aspects: for one, it has a mammoth 200+ levels. For two, watching (and hearing) the little coaches amble and totter along the tracks is somehow incredibly satisfying - especially when they totter into the right places :)
Some of the levels are pretty hard, but Railbound never ceases to be an entertaining thinky game - it's always a pleasure to get immersed in its world for a few levels of railway navigation. Highly recommended.

The puzzle difficulty feels either too easy or too convoluted. There is no between. The convoluted puzzles would be easier to approach if you could view the movement step-by-step. You can currently slow down the trains, but often that is not enough with so many moving parts.

Charming puzzle game that helped me unwind after work for a week. Difficulty of the puzzles was just right. Nothing too crazy, but didn’t feel like an absolute gimme. Aesthetic was real cute.
Perfect steam deck game I think.
Would recommend to anyone looking to play something to chill out with after work.
