Pretty much an improvement on every single level except the amount of gamemodes, though some might get added later. All the sprites look really nice and all the weapons sound and feel great. Grenades are actually usefull now which is nice and you also get a rocket launcher. Overall it feels great to play and I cant wait for some more stuff. Some tastefull art is also present. Oh and give me a sword only mod I beg you, keep up the good work!

The game refuses to launch despite being ran in compatibility mode and as administrator. All other troubleshooting has failed as well.

The game is fun, and very horny, everything you could wish for for 6 dollars. Though, I wish the protagonist talked a bit more though tbh

I am not going to refund this, for now. Play feel is okay for the most part, some weapons could have some beefier sound effects. The art is nice and really clean (well in the at style kind of way).
The TA and P isn't actually to egregious and you don't really have time to ogle it extensively anyways.
The issue is that the gameplay gets real stale real fast and you seemingly have seen most of what it has to offer in like 30 minutes.
In light of Vampire Survivors and it's wave of imitators I had hoped this was a version of that just in 3D. That is on me, not
the developer. However it simply highlights what i feel is missing:
The kind of enemy waves you have to deal with repeat pretty fast.
There are no built decisions to make like in those other games.
There is no planed and impacting alteration and growth of power like in Vampire Survivor and it's ilk.
It doesn't really have rewarding moments after you overcame a big wave, like the built up of power or
more chests to open for rewards like the very first chest (although saying that makes me feel a bit
conflicted considering the criticism towards Lootboxes that I share with most informed gamers).
The point is that it feels samey real fast and that it is missing the "Mario grabs the star" or "now i cook with even more gas" - moment that gives games some satisfying accents in the onslaught.

I played the first one and I found it fun for an afternoon. This one is quite a bit better.
If you've scrolled down, you're probably interested in a few things:
1. Anime tits
2. Arena shooters
3. Punchy shooting
If so, that's all here so go ahead and get it, not too expensive anyway.
If you're interested in the nitty gritty stuff, let's get into it:
Shooty Arena, no more no less
The core gameplay is fun if you like shooting different shapes with multiple different weapons. The action's fast-paced, it's non-stop, and has a surprising amount of depth.
You shoot at wave after wave of enemies until you get to the end.
That's the entire loop, and it's as cathartic and fun as it sounds. You don't pickup weapons and you don't reload, you shoot and automatically swap to a random weapon and keep shooting. Outside of that, you have a bunch of things you can do as get out of jail free cards (mostly the rocket launcher that also sends you into the sky).
One interesting mechanic that's been added in the second game is that whenever you get hit, you have 10 seconds to avoid getting hit again or you'll die. It's an exciting way to do the life system, and it works well with the powerups that are available.
What about the tits?
I'll say that this game has a ton more nudity than the first one. There's a little more girls covered in blood as well. Ymmv but if you're into that kind of thing, then that's probably going to be a plus for you.
It didn't exactly hinder nor did it improve the game for me, but if you're going in thinking that this'll be SFW, it ain't.
So it's all good, huh?
In short, for the price you pay, it's pretty damn good.
The large gripe would be that there's not much in the way of explaining how things go and some enemy movement patterns are almost literally random so difficulty can spike in strange ways. It's not really a dealbreaker, you do get better at finding paths that are safe, but in the initial stages many deaths come from seemingly out of nowhere and that can be pretty frustrating.
Enjoyed it. Will probably visit it again when there're updates.

Some things come unexpected... And this is the best of them so far!
First game was fascinating and now it has recieved its honorable reincarnation. Shooting got even more juicier, new style is an eye candy, enemies are challenging and Irulan is beautiful as always. Now this game is destined to make it to chapter No. 34 if you know what I mean (you know).

I wanted to love this game after playing the first which is a solid arena shooter.
This game is straight up broken though with no patch in sight since 2022: there's a common black screen issue which prevents the game from loading and hogs all your ram until your pc either crashes, freezes, or it miraculously loads after waiting nearly 15 minutes...
This is the case on both my windows gaming PC and my steam deck - I've easily wasted 5 hours trying to troubleshoot the problem but the game's just broken.
Buyer beware - you'll probably have to refund.

Ok...... I was a pretty big fan of the first one and I left a pretty lengthy review of Rule No. 1. In summary I said the game lacked clarity, too random and clustered, and poor sound design, but the game was still fun with the main character, the guns, cool enemies, cool art style, smooth and overall good feeling combat. I was disappointed to see these problems still present in future updates but I finally have my answer as to why:
Rule No. 2 improves on Rule No. 1 in every way!!! (almost)
In short: Rule No. 2 fixes every issue with Rule No. 1 and improves on it substantially but also removed several things that added replayability in Rule No. 1 as well as some of it's charm.
Pros:
EVERYTHING IS GOOD!!!!
1. The guns are FAR better this time around and feel WAY better
ALL guns are improved. The pistol is now a 3 burst fire. Shotgun feels way meatier. There's a new more powerful shotgun. There's a circle projectile donut thing that I didn't know I would like so much. Stilettos now fire 4 projectiles instead of 1 (I think it was 1 back in the firs game).
2. The arena is like what... 3x bigger now? and it's SO freeing to have this much space to move in.
Because of this, annoying enemies like Zombies and Spheres are not annoying anymore!!!! I feel like I actually have room to dodge these enemies!!! I"M SO HAPPY!!!!
3. Utility abilities are massively improved!!!
In the first game, the grenade sucked and it was on such a long cooldown you could barely use it. And even when you used it barely did anything. But in this game... Instead of just a grenade, you now have a burst grenade AND a rocket launcher. THEY'RE ACTUALLY USEFUL!!! And they're SO fun to use!!!
4. Dashing is SO MUCH BETTER this time. It's a lower cooldown and it goes further. I can actually regularly use it and not feel bad about using it!
5. ALL art is improved, more in theme with one another, and much more clear and readable. I CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE ZOMBIES COMING THIS TIME!!!
6. Enemy voice acting and sounds are improved.
7. The snap mechanic is just.... *pop* nice...
8. The new waves are much more interesting and far more fun than Rule No. 1 and thankfully feel like you can actually have strategies to beat them rather than just run in circles and hope you don't get hit by a sphere or a bullet that you didn't see.
9. I like the addition of a main villain
10. Non geometric enemies spawn in the play area rather than outside it. So now I don't have to squint to see the 5 pixels of the zombies from 2 miles away and then get hit but a sphere or another zombie from behind.
11. The gray color scheme for the level is a lot easier on the eyes
12. BREATHING ANIMATION
Cons:
1. As much as everything is improved... there is one major thing that is missing from before: Content besides the main mode. In Rule No. 1 There was the main mode, and a "freestyle" mode where you can control your guns, a bouncy square only mode, heck even a basketball mode. Also the points you get were used as currency to unlock new picture in your gallery.
All of these things are sadly not present in Rule No. 2. I don't know if the devs plan to add these in the future but I hope they come up with new fun and interesting game modes. It adds variety to the game and it's nice to play different modes from time to time instead of the base main mode.
Although the gallery is there, it's just the sprite work for the enemies. I hope we can get a proper gallery like the first game.
I can tell the devs put a lot of effort into this new game and I would happily pay for DLC for additional content.
2. I've only played for half an hour but I feel like the MC doesn't talk as much. I just feel like this in combination with the lack of a gallery, the MC isn't as present in this game outside of the pause menu and the first person view model. It's a shame because the MC is what gives most of the charm to these 2 games. She's not even on the main menu :(. And I miss her voice line before I quit the game that tells us "to be safe out in the real world." or when I pause she plays a random voice line like... "SQUIRREL!" or when i'm about to quit from a level she says "make sure to come back" or something like that. I really enjoyed things like that in Rule No. 1.
3. Also.... There is nudity in this game and I wish there was an option to turn it off. Yes it's more work to change the sprites but I think games like this would be great on YouTube or Twitch, but the lack of a non-nudity option prevents the game from being used as content without heavy editing. Another reason I think it's important is because when you look at the promotional material for this game you don't get the sense that it's an adult game. yes there are skimpy girls and several big spherical objects but not to the point where it's adult. My point is that it might turn off some people that otherwise would really enjoy the game.
FUN SUGGESTION: Let us kick severed heads outside of the arena. It would be so satisfying to kick a zombie head off the arena and watching it fall into the depths. Actually kind of sad that I can't XD
Conclusion:
Gameplay-wise the game is a MASSIVE improvement from Rule No. 1 and I honestly have no complaints about the gameplay. However, the lack of additional side content is disappointing and I hope it gets added in the near future.
With the game being $6 it's very easy to recommend it. You can probably get a solid 2-6 hours of gameplay until it gets repetitive.
