Great Game! The voice acting is amazing. Sounds like my cousin Billy, except Billy didn't make it out school. A space RTS with a great story. For some reason mining, minerals form asteroid is where the fuel can be obtained in the future, but is ok, they are like fish and don´t have any feelings. I have been playing for a while and catch my attention.

Game is really fun, it feels like a mini starcraft, in a way it really scratches that classic itch. I also like the voice over actors, they really make the game pop. You should definitely get this.

I used to play Starcraft 1 and this game conveys a very similar look and feel. The difficulty is hard enough to feel the challenge, but not so hard to make it frustrating. I'm almost done with the first campaign, which has only four levels, and I'm intrigued by the other campaigns and the way the game is structured.

-It's advertised as a open world sandbox builder. It's not, It's a linear mission to mission type game with limited resources and a soft timer to complete your objective before you die.

The game feels similar to Dune 2000, Starcraft, very entertaining, the gameplay is smooth and voice acting is pleasant and game mechanics feel fresh. Looking foward for more games like this!

Extinction Eclipse is a love letter to the classic RTS of the '90s; Anyone who has played StarCraft will feel at home, the mechanics are simple but highly challenging: collect resources, create an army and battle. Extinction Eclipse is an amazing game that you can't miss.

Inshort, i was drawn to the game because of the both simple and complex gameplay availability. That said, there is a few different "campaigns" for story mode, alongside infinite gameplay, and it matters how you do in missions. What resources you mine, and what ships you build, carry over to other missions. IE mission 1, i build up a ton of ships. Mission 2, those surviving ships carry over to the other mission in addition TO being able to carry over the resources. Speaking of resources, there is a upgrade system in place so you can use those extra resources you hoard for bonuses. Do i wish there is more to it? Absolutely, but for the first iteration of this game, it gets a thumbs up in my book. I wish it had multiplayer though, would add for much more complex teamwork/skirmish like gameplay (with local lan). Also some pro tips, Don't listen to the missions, farm farm farm, if it says get 10 fighter ships, then don't build 10, so the mission won't end abruptly. The first mission, do not complete all objects so you can farm as much resources as possible. Seems this is something done to gate you from figuring out till after you put two and two together for such a strategy. If you do complete the campaigns meeting the mission completion requirements, you'll actually struggle. Otherwise, you'll be steam rolling through the game altogether due to having available ships, and built up resources. Build turrets in the first mission, you'll use them later on, trust me you want them built up. Anywho I am a bit miffed i can't replay/farm some levels in story mode to help make things easier, so the previous advise aforementioned will be the only saving grace you have, especially if you play on hard. All this said, the devs have stated this game will come to gog at some point, so i bought it on steam, eager for the release on gog so i can just rebuy there for offline gameplay. Some things not intuitive would be for example, exiting out of commands or menus. Everything uses Escape just about to back out of commands, actions, options. Issuing orders doesn't always work, and your units will frequently suicide themselves at enemies. IE you select a group of units order all to attack one unit, and they'll fly right into the enemy center mass AND THEN attack, after receiving significant damage. A bit of a concern given how the game tries to penalize you for not fully understanding the entire games build up/farming mechanic. Might wanna fix that devs. As thats a great way to drive anyone away from a otherwise promising game. All and all i give this a game a so-so. Due to the issues mentioned above and the gameplay experience. Yeah its fun, because i know what im doing, but if i didn't, i'd be hecka mad because of fighting against the game mechanics just to play, and then struggling with the headache that is resource farming (and how missions end once you complete all objectives). its cool its not time based, but its not cool, because once you hit that mission complete, its a make or break moment, and can severely hamper future mission gameplay. I cannot recommend this game due to my existing experience. If it comes to mobile, might be more bareable, UI is also slow and cumbersome to move (even with the map quick focus) because of how much of a headache it is to move. Command & conquer games handle this by allowing rapid screen scrolling using the mouse, as a tickable option. If this was a feature, i didn't see it during my 8hr play through.
