Fun parkour shooter held back by some janky movement and unclear level design. I don't particularly like the levels set outside the test chambers - they're linear but lacking in direction, making first attempts a guessing game of which direction to go to avoid invisible walls. The focused and enclosed test chamber levels are much more fun and, fortunately, they make up the bulk of the game. Now, of all the parkour-oriented games I've played, The Rewind Factory has some of the heaviest, most unresponsive controls in the genre. Maybe it's intentional, and it improves somewhat once you get the dash about halfway through the game, but movement (especially in the air) is so sluggish that the predictive fire of the enemies is often impossible to dodge without destroying your momentum. It's far easier and faster to tank every hit and rewind the damage away instead of actually trying to dodge, especially with how large the player hitbox is. It's an enjoyable first attempt, but there's a lot of room to improve. (Kudos for the UI polish and wide range of settings, by the way.)

This is a fairly good movement shooter, and the rewind mechanic is engaging and fun. Only complaints would be that there not enough air control, so you kinda get locked into your momentum and I had a glitch where sometimes I couldn’t ADS. Not exactly the next Titanfall but, definitely worth checking out.

A fun shooter game combined with parkour, good music and a unique twist to it. I mostly found myself really enjoying the wall running, as it's just so smooth and clean! Can recommend to anybody looking for a chill and challenging game :)

Basically this game: Gun goes KAPHAOUW But in all seriousness this small fps parkour action indie game sparked some interest in me while watching the dev make it on YT. And i gotta the game turned out not bad, but with flaws(but it costs around 5 euro so for it's price it's pretty average). The gameplay of the game is pretty similar to other games although rewinding time is a really fun addition to the game which makes it more unique. Although i would like to see more mechanics. The game offers different enemies that range from two modes and around three weapons. Which is not bad but could be better. furthermore the level design is pretty good apart from the levels in the darkness. which are confusing, way too dark and a bit boring. Going to the art direction the game took inspiration from Portal and my only three complains are the hand(which looks like a sausage), the UI and the robots. The UI is a bit too bright and looks a bit too saturated and the bots are good for being targets but a bit too simple for my liking. The music is funky and the sounds are crispy though. The story of the game itself is interesting(with an interesting twist) but a bit cliche. But despite the flaws the game itself was all around pretty fun, i could write even more but the review is already long enough. My verdict: You can give it a try if it is on sale, it's pretty fun

very fun and goodlooking game, also the levels feel really progressive and the way you can see someone elses time makes it a bit of a competition for the best time too. the way the logs are scattered through the levels was nicely done because they weren't hard to find if you were trying to search for them but if you don't pay attention you still can miss them really easy.

Ok, this review is a bit biased. The creator of this amazing game is my son and I am proud as hell that he made this. He started working on it at the age of 14 after participating in a game jam. In three years time (and thousands of hours later) he has learned to program in Unreal engine and make models in blender. With friends he did the voices and music (I am in it too). I myself have been playing games since my brother bought a MS back in the eighties, I think it is so incredibly cool he made this game. The Rewind Factory is a bit of Portal story line and a bit of Titanfall 2 game play, with wall jumping and sliding. You can shoot down robots and there is a hidden story line. Go check it out!
