Easy to learn – intuitive tools let you shape terrain, place rails, and decorate in minutes.

Limited content at launch – assets are charming but few; if you build a lot, you'll run out of new toys quickly.

I got all the achievements within 6 hours of play, but even with the achievements being so easy to get, it's hard not to keep on playing! It's such a sweet game when all you want to do is just build a little world and let little trains go around your little world!
I look forward to seeing more updates for this game :)

I really want to like this game, but the graphical interface is almost impossible to use due to the pale pastel color scheme they used for this game. The actual building pieces are distinct enough that when you start to place items they're visible, but the off white/light blue/grey scheme they use for the actual building tools is near impossible to use. What would possess the developers to make their game interface so bad?

It's good. I would love some refinements:
- Better placing tool for tracks
- The ability to start from a randomized map or import a heightmap of some sort
- Better terrain placement and tools

If you loved train sets as a child, this game is 100% for you. If you used to dream of all the different ways you could setup the tracks for your train to travel on, this game is 100% for you. If you used to imagine little towns and various terrain that your trains could travel through, this game is 100% for you.
If you are looking for a story, there is none.
If you want specific tasks the complete, move on, you won't get that here.
If you hope to have dialogue with NPCs, you won't find that either.
This game is made for those who quite simply want to create a world they can enjoy watching their trains travel through.

I mean the game’s called Islands and Trains, plural! 😭 I’ve already built 4 islands but only got one lonely train hauling everything from people to trees across the whole map lol.

My issue with it is that you can only have one train running at a time, which just makes it feel kinda pointless to me.
If you don't mind (essentially) a screensaver with a train trundling around a low-res environment, then you can safely ignore my issue.
