It's Stardew Valley meets a pinch of Sims. In To Pixelia you can live in the big city study at university, rent or own apartments focus on your career or romance and if you get sick of that and just miss farming you can hop on a train and go over to the town and do all the farming your heart desires. I am obsessed with this game right now. 10/10

Picked this up after the first couple of patches. I'm not usually into these kind of life sim games, but despite it's rough edges, there's something about this game that's really charming and causes me to keep thinking about it. I'll probably wait for a few more patches before diving in more, but I think it's worthy of support so wanted to give it a thumbs up. I didn't encounter anything game breaking in my short time with it so far.

THE GAME IS UNPLAYABLE
It has potential but I can't recommend it in its current state because it's so broken. Items frequently disappear which is a massive lost of money, stuck on loading screens, placing objects often doesn't work and rotating objects is not even a feature of the game, quest icons still appear hours after the quest was completed. Worst of all, save files sometimes dont work, resulting in a deeply frustrating loss of progress. I had to repeat the same day like 5 times because the game freezes on loading screens forcing me to restart the game but this doesnt actually fix the problem so I cannot play the game at the moment.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this game yet. It should really still be considered early access. The game itself promises to be a really great life sim once all the bugs are fixed and the content is fully fleshed out. But there are so many bugs, so much clearly missing content. Stores on the map you simply cannot access, indicating there are quests to unlock them that do not exist. homes owned by people that are not in the game. some badly balanced mechanics (looking at you food costs/cooking skills). finally bugs. I've had to hard reset because the loading screens sometimes won't disappear despite the sounds indicating I'm moving around and able to interact with stuff. sometimes sleeping won't pass time/increase energy. Sometimes skills won't increase when you sit down to practice them. I think my game is truly screwed for me because now time won't always pass, or it will pass in fits instead of at a steady pace.
again, once all these issues are worked through, the content fully finished, it'll be a true gem. It has such great potential, but it is still basically early access and needs work to truly be considered a finished game.

For the price it's definitely worth the try, but I really wanna emphasize that for a life sim game, this is noticeably railroady. A lot of things are locked behind quests, and to discover those quests you need to finish certain "main quests". Get a creditcard, become a waiter, attend a lesson, commit a robbery, all these things you need to do if you want to explore all of the Pixelia. If you don't do these things you'll start feeling like the game might be a bit shallow, which it actually isn't really but you're just not at the deep parts.
That said, there's a lot of good in here, and it's a fun world to explore and make choices in. Plenty of things to grind for, and plenty of ways to grind.

If the devs decide to leave it as an early access game I'd give it thumbs up, but in it's current state it's impossible to call it a complete product. Right now the game is just mediocre (fine at best). Everything is tedium without reason, just an excuse to waste time in boring mini-games (though I'm thankful they added an option to disable them) and not being able to truly express yourself, which, I think, is one of the most important characteristics a life sim should have.
I feel bad for the devs, because I know they're doing their best and genuinely want to make a good game, but it's just not done. Having the lable of "early access" at least would let me be more understandable. I'll check it again once a new update drops, but it's a no for me right now.

I've played for nearly 4 hours. Game is good, updates are coming. Reviews are becoming good. Of course there're some problems but if the devs hear the player game will evolve in a better way.
- There should be better options for rotating/replacing house items. We can't deisgn our house well.
- There's no cloud save. I've played this game firstly on ROG Ally then wanted to continue on my laptop but my older save wasn't there. You need to fix this problem because this game is amazing on handheld sometimes we can play on other devices.

I do not currently recommend this game.
I say currently because the developers seem to be putting up updates in a timely fashion, so this might just need to be a game I revisit in six months for it to be much better. This is includes quite a few bug fixes.
I did not find this to be an engaging game in its current state. I found it to be a bit hollow and lacking depth. There is a lot to do, but most of the time it is interact with object and then wait for your character to do something until a timer runs out. It is really not that much fun. I found myself scrolling on my phone or watching netflix while it played in the background. When I was not waiting for a timer I was running around town (semi-fun) or engaging in mini games (most of which I really did not enjoy at all).
I found the game very slow. Talking to NPCs is very boring and slow. Dialogue boxes taking forever to get out of. It really started to grate on me.
I would recommend if you do buy this game to have at least two screens so that you can play this game on one and then do something else on another. I think if I had gone into this game doing that I would have liked it a lot more. I think I was just disappointed in this game. I thought I was really going to like this game and I just don't.
