It took me about seven hours to complete the game. I had a good time playing it.
Been a while since I've played a JRPG, and I'm glad Mineralis didn't disappoint
[*] Gripping story. I'm yet to finish the game but from what I've seen so far the writing has been great, the stakes are high, and the characters are engaging.
[*] Excellent world building. Every city you visit has a unique vibe to it, it's presented to the player through the game's simple yet beautiful visuals, it's great music and the conversations you'll be having with its inhabitants. On that note - every NPC you encounter is unique, and you are able to interact multiple times to find out more about them and the world they inhabit. ALSO, they react to you interacting with the world, for example, if you try to enter somebody's home without their permission they will let you know about this, all around great stuff and clearly a lot of care has gone into creating this world.
[*] Fun combat. To me, the combat felt like a mix between Shin Megami Tensei and Final Fantasy. Meaning - it generally plays like your average JRPG, but there are some interesting quirks to it, which I'll let you find out about by yourself. It's sometimes difficult, but always rewarding.

All in all, it's a great package, highly recommend it!

I'd say play this game if:
* You are looking for a interesting combat experience
* Want to read a book and think about ethics
The combat in this game is definitely the highlight for me. This game explores the limits of what rpg maker combat can be, it's somehow fast paced for a turn based system and the fact that you recover your mana between fights is a welcome mechanic, letting you use your full toolkit every fight :+1:
Thus somehow every combat encounter required me to think and use my brains instead of the classic "spam auto attack" strategy, this combat system has depth, maybe the most depth you can have with just the basic rpg maker game. Tells me that the games creator really cared about combat and spent some hours honing it.
The story is a pretty normal one with a MC going for a revenge trip while finding himself, but the content of the conversations and the npcs are shaped to make you think about your life choises, do you want to be kind, what does it mean for you to help others and so on. So it's engaging, but not sure how well it's baked into the story, overall I liked the conversations the party had

An interesting take on the JRPG genre. The well-crafted story explores themes around conflict. I'd recommend if you're into classic RPG Maker type of games.
