I just found this game randomly while searching through different Steam tags. Thought I'd write a review as there aren't any at the time of writing this. And I must say, this game is pretty damn decent for £2. I'm not super deep into it yet, but the writing does strike that Sopranos familiarity. The art style is limited but it does the job, and you can tell the dev has done what they can within rpg maker here. I thought it was cute that you could move closer to the sinks to 'use' them, and that your house has a balcony. Just little touches that add some flair. Plot wise, I'll be brief to avoid any spoilers. You're a mob guy collecting your protection money. Your 'family' has a temporary mob boss in place to handle things. Not everyone seems to like him. Things really ramp up from there. It was a little tricky following what was going on, but the 'memory' section with a family tree and map was useful. It's up to you how you want to play your guy, you get to decide if you'll try and make nice, or be awful to everyone. If you've played rpg maker games before, there's not a whole lot of active gameplay here, as it's more of a story game. That's what I was looking for personally, but just worth keeping in mind. The only real caveat I have it that I think I've possibly been softlocked from leaving an office. I think because I spoke to someone in the wrong order. I'll likely restart as this was early on, but worth making a backup save or two. I'll edit this review if I figure out what happened there. Overall, for £2, get it. If you like rpg maker games like The Deed, or really miss The Sopranos, this is worth your time. I don't know this dev but it's clear they've put some real effort here, and the price point isn't ridiculous. I have a soft spot for these little rpg maker games, and this is another good one to look into if you're into them too.
