The controls are awful why it's not just in all normal games: wasd, spase - jump, l-shift - dash? Also coconut mechanic is too hard: if you're one pixel away from left-you die. Anyway concept is good, feels like celeste but it's different. Good luck with development!

I like this game a lot. The characters are very cute, the level design has a nice ebb and flow in difficulty, and while the game only has one song in its soundtrack, I never grew tired of it across the 50 levels to play. If you are looking to get into precision platformers like kaizo or celeste, this is a pretty good entry point, as the difficult is on the lower side.
Some criticisms that could be changed to make this game, or a follow up game more of a success for me:
- The coconut hitbox is pretty small, making the direction it travels in feel mostly controllable, but also a bit random. Taking player momentum into account to decide which direction the coconut travels in could help a lot.
- Transitioning between screens doesn't feel that great because there is very little pause time to evaluate the state of the next screen. This is exacerbated by the fact that the position of a coconut on screen 2 that has been kicked from screen 1 depends on how the coconut was kicked, so you have to make a very fast evaluation as to how to proceed, which feels unfair and not very interesting.
- The hydration meter is way underused. I never died to this mechanic and it was a selling point for the game! A difficulty mode where the axolotl drying out a lot faster could fix this pretty easily.
- The game is pretty short. I beat the game in about 1.5 hours, which is not that much time for a 10 dollar price tag. However, looking at some of the other reviews for this game shows play times around the 7 hour mark, so I think I am alone in this.
Great game, and best wishes to the dev.

Do you love precise platformer games? Do you have what it takes to win after dying A LOT? Can you prove to be an skilled player to win this game without dying once? Then this game is for you!
Loved to play this one, good level design, interesting mechanics, fast respawn and a cute character to play around in this world.
Highly recommended!

This game isn't terrible but it has too many problems for such a simple idea to make it worth recommending. The idea of playing as an axolotl is interesting. I like that the developer tried to make it factor into the gameplay, as he must get to water in order to survive. This actually ends up being the biggest problem with the game because most of the levels are basically simplistic puzzles that you don't have enough time to figure out before dying. The graphics are very simplistic and the game has a single song that loops constantly. The main mechanic of the game is a midair dash that is used to leap around obstacles. If the axolotl grabs a gem while in the air, then he gets an extra dash before he lands. There's also a wall jump. Jumping against the wall does not reset the dash mechanic. The game doesn't explain any of this, so it took me some time to even figure out what I was doing. There are fifty simplistic levels but the game ends up being annoying by virtue of the fact that the axolotl constantly gets dehydrated and dies as you're trying to figure out the best way to tackle the platforming puzzle. Certainly not the worst game I've played but as what essentially feels like a Flash game I would say it's too irritating to be worth a run through unless you really love these sorts of games.

An amazing game [i've played it to level 30 on switch, and level 12 on here] but I think two things would be cool:
Ability to change controls on PC
Checkpoints in PC levels

Personally, I really liked this game for its high difficulty, it presents you with mechanics in a "safe" environment and then puts you in a level to test your skills, in addition, each level having more than one route is something phenomenal. In the end, its a very very cute and fun Celeste like game.

This game sucks my browneye, beat it in 27 minutes because the developers couldn't put any effort into the difficulty whatsoever and deserve to starve to death as a result, which is why I'm not subsidizing any cashflow in this direction. Good day, sirs.

Fun and cute snack platformer. Controls feel good and the levels provide a nice mix of challenges. Going through the 50 levels takes about 30 minutes but then doing the deathless challenge is no trivial task. I had to do it three times because the achievement wasn't originally working, but the dev was super responsive, found the issue, and fixed it really quickly. Highly recommend picking this up!
