Japanese folklore about Akane, the red giant, and Aoi, the blue giant, is the best route no cap

This game is a bit weird. It's connected to another game, Amatsutsumi, and the power of Kotodama is explored deeper here. It's a moege with attractive ladies, but it features politics, economics, and talks about civilization. It's set 1000 years into the future, and Humankind is battling a mysterious foe, some sentient lifeform. It's interesting but a bit protracted. The ending is pretty good and fulfilling. It lasts under 40 hours, so you have to allocate a bit of time, but it's a pretty good experience.

Must hand it too PurpleSoft they do come up with interesting characters, they just don't do anything with them. After leading to a wonderful build-up, fighting an enemy called the Tekki, the VN goes into a long academic spiel losing its audience altogether on the theory of money and economic policy. I got lost altogether finding a plot to follow. None of the characters stood out anymore, all following what the protagonist had to say, being led by the nose. This is not a Chronoclock or some of the studio's earlier work, simply a throw out. Better find a better entertainment elsewhere.

Awakening from a chilling slumber, you find yourself suspended in a gnarled tree. The world has been ravaged by unspeakable, heartless abominations; a shadow of its former self. Civilization is long gone, and the dragon is no more. In this post-apocalyptic hellscape, humanity clings to survival as you navigate a terrifying visual novel. FEATURES: 20+ hours of macabre storytelling Three harrowing paths Eerie Japanese voice acting Characters haunted by their world This is a twisted tale of rebirth and despair, of fighting the darkness and confronting one's demons. A story about the life, death, and legacy of a hero. This is a confession.

The lack of things and glitches of the game did bother me a lot, but eventually I decided to drop it and not care about any sort of ''patch notes'' to fix things up, as that should not be my main priority, and instead, its the story of the game that should be focused on more. A lot of visual novels didn't have ''special effects'', and good settings but they did manage to make the plot pretty great! Speaking of story, and...at least in my opinion, it's solid, much more fun than Amatsutsumi, I genuinely liked the protagonist of the game, what he was, how he came to be and what he tried to do in order to make Kanto progress further in many ways! Getting to other things: After story (5/10): I appreciate getting a little bit of context regarding the bandages that Tsubame wore which was pretty cool, technology and other type of stuff progression, and Tsubame's and Professor's (15/10) lewds, but man...Almost all of them left me dissapointed, they felt too short, and the lewd stuff on most of the after stories weren't that great either, heck, Akane's & Aoi's after story honestly sucked. CG's (6.5/10): There's obviously butt-loads of cg's that came out of that game, quite a lot of them look amazing, but there's more than a few that lacked quality and passion into them. Asahina's provided art at some points looked weird honestly (anatomy in certain cg's bothered me a little). There could have been more lewds in the after story since the main one lacked that. Music/Ost (7/10): For quite a few episodes/videos that I made on this game, I was thinking that I might not actually like the music that was playing in the game, but on the contrary, as time went on, I ended up liking some of them, even putting a couple into a playlist and listening while I chill. It fitted quite well when it came to the dialogic atmosphere. In other places, it was solid enough. Backgrounds(4/10): This novel could've honestly had more than what it presented. The 3D looking parts are ugly. Main characters (7.5/10): I liked them in every aspect, just not their after stories, and one I can appreciate the most is Yuuri's, hard to tell you why since it has been quite some time of me playing from the beginning up to the end of her route, but the best thing I can give you is this: it felt very ''human''. Her lewd scenes were very hot as well. Other characters (6/10): Thanks for not introducing the rest of the swords =V. I wouldn't have minded if the game went to a darker route and showed what Fuyuhito was like. Professor Shiki is hot af. Tsubame in the story felt like she was supposed to be one of the heroines we could have fallen in love with and gotten an ending, but at the end it was nothing but a bait...background time for her was practically non-existant, and honestly, if not for how she looks, she could have been the most easily forgettable character in the novel...but then comes one of the after stories where gets more time to be around....and it's lewds...with some knowledge regarding the bandages that she always wears around. Story (7/10) Set in post-apocalyptic world, a cybornetic human hero awakes, almost immediatly becomes one of the swords, tekki fights, boobers, I honestly liked it. Total: 6.14

Another day, and another great release by Shiravune. Please have mercy on my wallet! (JK, keep up the good work!) Onto the VN itself; if you know PurpleSoft and have been around in the VN scene for a short while, chances are you may have played some of their previous works and it does not need any other introduction. To keep it short, If you're a fan of solid world building with interesting cast of characters, appreciate a good story coupled with romance, action in between & comedies every here n then, GET THIS GAME. Fantastic artwork, great voice casting & soothing soundtracks are some of the other tantalizing icings on the cake; the rest are for you to discover & experience it yourself. Lastly, don't forget to get the R18 patch (Kunado Chronicles Patch for Steam) from Johren as usual

I love Purplesoft VNs so I had to buy this (really good price too) Did not disappoint, great story, beautiful art and OST. Translation was solid too. If Shiravune does end up working on more Purplesoft games I hope they could spend more time on the engine work as others have noted this one is clearly missing some features and settings (animated BGs, UI, menus, etc) from the Japanese version.

This is an excellent story with romance, mystery and good world building. The art is top tier and the h-scenes are completely bonkers. You need to get the patch from the publisher.

For those wondering, this game has mixed reviews because the negative ones are from people who played an original version that had better visuals as well as better UI. If you don't really care, then buy it. Otherwise I recommend buying the Johren version which can be found on their site (Should be the same price as the Steam version). If you do end up buying this, be sure to pick up the NSFW patch off the Johren site as it adds a route for the twins. All in all you can expect around 30 hours of playtime, less if you don't play with the NSFW patch.
