Kunado Chronicles is an epic story, one about humanity and our species’ great strength - the ability to move forward. The writer took time to create a solid foundation for the world-building, and every story segment indicates a sense of progression even until the climax. It amazed me how coherent the story was, the narrative has a clear direction and knows when to shift the tone to keep readers’ engagement.
Despite loving the narratives, I’m a bit disappointed that the writer doesn’t try to tie up some loose ends, which could have been solved by a proper after-story. The fact that the ‘heroine’, who was the cornerstone of this story, had such an underwhelming outcome left a bad aftertaste. A lot of reused CGs and cheap fanservice serving no narrating purpose. Some characters have a lot of potential but get sidelined one way or another, such as Tsubame, who should have a proper route.
Overall, Kunado Chronicles was enjoyable, not as much as Mikage’s previous title A.K.A Amatsutsumi, but I’m glad that I read it nonetheless.
