Spirittea Reviews

Hey human, we've got problems! This town is crawling with troublesome spirits, and you're the only one who can see them. You'd better get that old bathhouse up and running, maybe that'll help them chill out!

This game scratches an itch I didn't even know I had for a diner dash-like experience, but without the rush, and makes it extra cozy.

Cute game! Not much like Stardew, despite what others have been saying, aside from the graphics and "befriend the village" aspects. Overall this is a fun little game for when I am watching something in the background, as certain aspects tend to be a little grind-y (like running the bathhouse). My chief complaint is the time-stamina mechanic. If I still have the vast majority of my stamina left prior to being "very tired", there is no reason that I should be passing out before I reach home. I totally get that you want to have the game respect the fact that we as humans have stamina while the spirits do not, but it is extremely annoying to deal with. My suggestion would be to only have the stamina go down quickly when stamina would normally be consumed otherwise (like running) and when walking or doing nothing, have stamina go down the same speed as running typically causes.. I would also LOVE a garden aspect to this game!! That's the only thing I miss from other management-type games like Stardew. Loved the nod to Eric, btw! I am sure he would love it as well!

Very cool cozy game. Love the vibes. Managing a bathhouse for spirits is a nice change of pace from farming. Can def feel the Spirited Away inspiration. The recent update adding spirit drops and pets added a lot to the bathhouse experience. Minor complaints: The NPCs cycle through the same 2-3 dialogues, when not involved with a spirit quest. I wish they had a little more depth. Also wish there was a food/gift giving mechanic as another means to gain friendship. I wish seeds were added to a vendor list. Even just popping up here and there in Song's shop. Chasing squirrels in the hopes it drops a seed bag, and hoping it's the seed you need, can be tedious.
