Bionic Bay is a cinematic puzzle-platformer set in a mysterious and beautiful biomechanical world. With stunning, high-detail pixel art and fluid movement, it offers a captivating experience perfect for those who enjoy precise platforming and a rich, immersive atmosphere. While it features several interesting mechanics, you might find yourself wishing for more. However, the game is short and compact enough that it ends on a good note, leaving a positive impression. It took my about 7 hours to complete.

This game is okay. It's not good though. It's okay. I am not going to finish the game because of how repetitive it is. The challenges here are just meant to make you think outside the box, which they succeed in doing so. But you have to do it over and over and over and over and over again. Then you have three powers, but you won't ever have all three powers together in one character. You have one character that teleports, the other does cool slow-mo stuff and guess what? The slow-mo guy you can't even play as much. In 5 hours you get to play another power for -two- level. That's it. Enjoy teleporting stuff around for the rest of the other 4 hours I guess. I was hoping for 5 hours that I can get the slow-mo with the teleportation, but it just never came around. Instead you'll have to do repetitive puzzles with a teleporter that's not even that convenient. I wanna break the game by having all powers combined, but that's just not allowed. And boy, sometimes they REALLY put the checkpoints in the wrong places, making you repeat really menial tasks to advance and if you fail you have to do it all over again. Then there's the controls. Who made this? J for jumping, K for hitting an object to teleport and L for teleporting the thing. I VERY OFTEN have the issue that I just misstap because you NEVER use J K L, you usually use Q E and R. Or Shift for vaulting, Q for punching and F for teleportation or something like that. Update: You're actually going to get several powers at once later in the game. But waaaay too late. I'm still not giving it a recommend, for some reason the other levels become MUCH easier after you get slow mo.

The game is average. The lacks of memorable OST and the simple level design makes the game boring. I have trouble finishing it and I always AFK after 5-10 minutes of playtime because anything in my room was more entertaining than playing this game. After playing games like Limbo or Little nightmare, it's hard to play this one. It lacks the mystery of these other games. The charm is missing and after jumping from pipe to pipe after some hours, I think I'm done. I hope the studio can learn from this game and improve their next game.

Glorious little jump and run with great mechanics, sound and art. Plays through well in a hand full of sittings or one long session.

Bionic bay is an incredible puzzle platformer. It feels like Inside and Celeste had a baby.

One of the greatest puzzle platformers I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. There are so few games in this genre that really put physics to work, and this is the gold standard. I have seen someone nail it this well since 'Vessel'. The new mechanics are portioned out perfectly, and the pacing is fantastic. The game allows you to really soak in the scenery, which is perfectly realized. You can tell that this was a labor of love by a smaller team. Story is light, but this is more of a mood/ atmosphere game then a title with a ton to say. The game doesn't overstay its welcome, and most folks will be pleased with the length of the campaign. That being said, if the pacing and varied environments kept coming, I could easy bury another 7 hours. Have not had a chance to try the online yet, but excited to give it a spin. The handful of negative reviews show people jumping off after just over an hour. People like what they like, but I genuinely wonder if we were playing the same game at all. 10/10 masterpiece. Play this game.

I am a platformer junkie(Talking N++, Ori series, Metroidvanias and the like), but I also like athmospheric games. This game just ticks all the boxes. The world is beautiful. The scenery slowly changes with each level, but it keeps the overall atmosphere. During the game, you also unlock new abilities, and have to work out new puzzles, it keeps itself fresh. Mechanics are also really well thought out. Story telling is mostly through environments, and very rarely by text, but it never feels alien to the game itself :) I would say this is not a super hard game, but one which is well worth it to play. If you love oldschool platformers(OG Prince of Persia, Another world), you'll like this for sure!

Not bad - not great. My biggest complaint is that this game overstays it's welcome. I feel like if it was 6 hours instead of 10 I would have enjoyed it more. Mechanics come in pretty frequently but overall not much changes. I would have enjoyed either more level variety to switch it up or some mechanics that differed a bit more than the ones in the game actually do. I'd wait for a sale.

Not the most seamless platformer, but a lot of cool ideas. Good movement, but the aesthetics make it very unclear where to go, what's interactable, and what will kill you. Story is also incomprehensible. Recommend on sale. 7/10
