As the description of the game says it's a chill puzzle game with a sprinkle of story that pieces together who Ida is and why she's traveling around. I even finished it with a sense of accomplishment that I normally don't get with these types of puzzle games. I highly recommend playing it and also getting the 2nd game with it as well <3

This is a beautiful game in every sense of the word. It has a life of its own and I wish I could find out more about the wonderful world but I'm only given glances through puzzles. But maybe I'm just looking for something that I'm not supposed to find and just enjoy the music, scenery, and puzzles. Highly recommend.

Excellent casual puzzle game with a great minimalistic art style. The Escher-like puzzles are well crafted and just the right difficulty level, in my opinion. The game actions and animations are slow-paced, which fits the vibe but can be annoying at times. I'd recommend playing Monument Valley a level per day.

One of the greatest relaxing puzzles ever made! Monument Valley is easily one of the greatest relaxing puzzle games I’ve played. Every level is like walking through a dream — filled with clever illusions and peaceful logic that never frustrates. The super soulful art with soft colors creates a calming vibe from start to finish, and the soundtrack pairs perfectly with the slow, thoughtful pace. It’s a short journey, but every minute feels meaningful. Whether you're a puzzle veteran or just looking to unwind, this is a beautifully crafted experience that sticks with you long after it's over.

While artistically and technically impressive and revolving around an interesting concept, I whish the developers had done more with it. Outside of the two last levels of main game and DLC, I can honestly barely call this a "puzzle" game, as for the most part it's practically linear and doesn't require any thinking whatsoever. The moments requiring any brain activity are few and far between even considering game's very short duration (which wouldn't be a problem, had it provided a more concentrated experience). Overall I'd only recommend it if you either really enjoy the visuals or are a very casual player and can get it on a discount.

This was a nice little puzzle game. Most of the puzzles were pretty easy, nothing was crazy, though there were a handful where the nature of the perspective breaking got me until it didn't. Couple of the levels are crazy to look at though, one is like a puzzle box that unwraps as you go and its really neat. It's very pretty and relaxing and worth seeing. And this game is frequently on sale for just a dollar or two, it's worth the time.

Wow, just wow! First things first, it's one of these rare puzzle games that can also be atmospheric when something awesome it's really happening, it never feels like it's too slow and/or boring, and it always innovates itself and surprises you. I mean, even the basic idea was awesome, but it still kept evolving more and more, even in the already included DLCs (that isn't a given for most games, above all in DLCs). And it manages to do all that even in the situations where you have to collaborate with other beings in the game, which is usually when many games make you slow down a lot to do annoying puzzles that just take more times instead of being truly difficult, while in this game I think it makes things even more dynamic. I still have to play the second game, but I can already say that personally this and The Last Campfire are the best purely puzzle games between the many ones that I've seen and/or played. If the second is also this good or even better, I could say the same for the whole Monument Valley series also, I'm also excited for the third one coming very soon

It has pleasant visuals and audio, so its good for a short relaxing game. However it is VERY short with extremely simple puzzles that until the last stage barely require any thought. The controls also are not great. Apparently there is a better version on mobile that you should get instead. Overall. I would say get it on a sale for $1-2 if you want a short pleasant game, but do not expect actually challenging puzzles.

There is beauty in simplicity, and yet perplexity in perspectives. Short and fun challenge, with impressive and breathtaking level design. Good experience on the Steam Deck!

Does not have a volume control. No cloud save. You reinstall, you lose all progress.
