Sure, yeah! Short little game with multiple endings, might be a fun speed game?

This game is so boring.. I made it to year 3 and quit.
All you are doing is sorting, taping, and looking... I am usually into these kinds of games, but really do not like this one.
This game was suggested as another "Papers, Please".. The only thing they have in common is checking the flags, weight, and country. I did not understand the timer, It did not feel speedy enough for me. whenever you are drinking, you have the option to pick it up, which makes zero sense.. I just kept clicking until the vignette of "sleepiness" went away, the book gets dirty after you drink, I guess it was a failed attempt to make it more challenging. The voice actors, should've been my first red flag.. really felt like I was listening to a shiddy recording rather than hearing the emotion or expression, of their reading.
I mean, I guess this is what ya get for $11.. I do like the art style, just wish it was a bit more entertaining.

Glory to Arsto- I mean Taxien!
This game has a lot of potential, but there are still little things that need improvement/fixing. The controls with mouse are a little clunky and sometimes the input isn't recognized well, so you have to spam click to make it work. Also I had save game issues and I had to start all over instead of continuing from year 4. Adding manual saves would be a great help! Sometimes the packages are marked as sorted incorrectly even though I double checked if I have everything right (rebel/government package, missing label etc) and I don't mean those where I recognize my mistakes. I feel like little explanations / extended tutorial maybe (not only in the book) are missing what counts as dangerous, fragile etc (I know pizza is something you put in the fridge, but who freaking lets their pizza ship into another country.) too. Also turning the package while holding the tape, torch etc. would be mighty convenient!
The voice actors were really great especially in the German version (of course Carlos Lobo :D) and I usually am a "English purist". The English version was missing a certain charm, maybe, but that's my opinion in this part. The music can get annoying after a few hours. It is supposed to represent a job where little to nothing changes but the dread it gives of never happens. You never run out of money or have to pay for family or insurance etc, so that is a little redundant in my opinion but maybe there will be stuff added via updates/dlc.
The story is nothing new. Rebels vs government we know it. But this game does it in a charming way and funny way even though the inspiration by a certain game is clear. The art style fits the humor and feeling it wants to convey.

I do like "Papers Please" a lot, so I figured this should be fun. Unfortunately, it wasn't. It seemed as if the controls weren't quite as responsive as they should be (eg. the double click to pick up a box), the art style really wasn't for me (when your boss talks to you, it looks like he is having some kind of a seizure), the music was nerve-wrackingly repetitive and I didn't find it relaxing or anything at all... I'd check 3-4 boxes, then suddenly my eyes in game started to close, so apparently I fell asleep at work, then I got some reports, two annoying voice-actors and a "Game over". Wow, fun.
Sorry... Papers please is much older and its graphics are simpler, but was so much more fun and addictive. This is basically the same game idea, but executed poorly, even for about 10 bucks. Sorry, not for me.
