Gotta say, this little game is a gem. I love everything about it. the only thing I would change is make it so you can race other players from different stables. 10/10 would saddle up and race again!

can't give this a like you can't rotate building which leaves you stuck. also the customers are bugged and are not giving you income at all this needs to be fixed asap.

A cute barn management game. Nice if you love horses but hate the drag of constantly grooming your digital horse in most games. You do not need to put 50+ hours into this game, 15 hours for a normal well adjusted non-Horse Girl (you can be any gender and be a Horse Girl). I went out of my way to 100% everything and then kept playing after that. If you love management games this probably isn’t deep enough for the perfect management game but great if you want something simple to play while you watch tv.

I used to play this game as a kid on my phone, and of course at the time I was only able to play the demo. I used to be OBSESSED with this game, and I mean like, I would delete and re-download it over and over again just to do the same things. When I found out the other day that Pocket Stables was on steam I was ECSTATIC. Having this game be a big part of my childhood and love for horses, I just HAD to have this game. I still adore it, and I'm so happy that I'm able to expand on it more now that I'm not just limited to the demo. If you're someone who likes calming, strategy game-play, this game is for you. Even better if you love horses like I do!

huh.. look at that 26h game time! Simple game yet kinda addicting. The excitement when your horse have enough stamina to finish a track. The accelerating feeling as your horse speed get better and better. For a small size and relative cheap game~ i feel it worth every penny!

Simplistic horse 'ranching' game. You race, breed, buy, and sell horses. Goal is to breed a super horse and win all the races. Old grey mare, she ain't what she used to be...

Spectacularly basic for a horse racing tycoon type game, Pocket Stables really shows its age. Combine lacking features with an inflated price and you've got yourself a recipe for missed sales. Mobile versions of this title can be found for under $5, sadly Kairosoft's been pricing all their Steam releases at more than double the retail pricing of any other platform because...why not I guess. You'll spend roughly half your time with PS sitting on the main ranch screen waiting for time to tick by between races. During races there's little to do aside from watching your horse lose often for a minimal skill boost and oft-tiny prize payout. There are skills to upgrade and research to unlock, but again much of this goes on via windows you'll rarely look at. The overly happy soundtrack is lacking and will drive you nuts within the first half hour, thankfully it can be muted. Being a mobile port, PS is fairly lacking in mouse support. Attempting to build new facilities for your ranch becomes irritating as your mouse pointer will hardly ever land on the square(s) you wish to build on, often leading to "space already occupied" warnings or incorrect placement of buildings. The UI could really have used a refresh as you'll be forever clicking your way into and out of menus when most info could have been arranged on the ranch screen without crowding your view. Only those nostalgic for these old Kairosoft releases should touch Pocket Stables. As is, if you've got extra cash and a relately modern PC titles such as Rival Stars and Starters Orders are far better investments if you don't mind waiting for a discount.
