Its really fun and really cute. The game is pretty simple and you can learn it yourself

SORRY YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO SPEAK UP, THE GAME IS VERY LOUD AND THERE'S NO VOLUME OPTIONS.
Very satisfying puzzle game, the idea that you can either clear a line normally with similar blocks or 'entomb' treasures and mummies with stone blocks leads to some really cool strategies. Unlike some falling block puzzles, clearing lines immediately is worth more than doing big combos (except 5+ combos which outside a consistent setup on start I can only do by accident). This is good because a single mistake can have you spending the next 3-7 lines trying to undo that mistake and each line up removes precious time from reacting.
I've always loved weird and quirky puzzle games and I originally found Cleopatra Fortune on the Taito Legend's 2 (PS2) and fell in love with it. I was pretty excited when I saw a S-Tribute had come out on Steam and grabbed it on sale. The lack of English here and there isn't hard to get around except Mystery Mode, but there's an English guide of there for the clear conditions, but it would have been nice had they translated those into English in-game. All in all worth it on sale if you like a odd ball puzzle game.

Cute & fun little tetris clone/puzzle game. The fact that this is essentially just JP Saturn ROM running using english overlay is a bit annoying since there is a bit of figuring out if you don't know Japanese especially in Mystery Mode, but other than that it's a solid game, port adds quite a few QOL features, so overall good stuff, grab it if you are a fan of those kind of games.

A simple coin-up classic experience, but from the Sega Saturn port. By itself it's a bit rough in the art and music department, still there is thought put into his gamplay design, you can really feel the flavor of the concept of building a pharaoh's tomb with mummies and all, so that feeling is well achieved. The Saturn emulation and added features from City Connection is flawless. if you like a puzzle challenge or retro experiences, this is your jam.

While I like this game I wish there was more than just a "Yes/No" for recommend this game, because while it's PASSIBLE, there are definitely some issues. Purchased this game because of the arcade version appearance Egret II Mini and wanted more. While the UI can be switched between many languages the "clear condition" is always in Japanese for the mystery mode. A slight oversight, but not a big deal to learn which ones mean all clear, clear mummies, and x chain. Another oversight is that I had to mash around the keyboard during the menu to find the button to start the game (x on keyboard, no directions until AFTER you get in) Probably not as much of an issue for people who play on pad, but for puzzle games I tend to use the keyboard for more precision. The regular keyboard "start" buttons did not work (enter, space, control, alt, even esc didn't exit the game) There are TWO separate options sections, Most ports, even emulated will usually either take out the rom's options and put it all in their own menu, OR hack in all the additional options into the rom, or integrate it in a seemless way. That was not done here. The game also requires steam to be open to launch. (most smaller and retro titles you can launch without the steam client) and there's no netplay. I can't help but think that for many people who have the correct consoles it would be better to get one of those ports second hand. Again, the port is passible, but a very low effort port I'm glad I waited for a sale (since I had the egret 2 mini version while I waited). Would not recommend if you haven't already played the arcade version and know you enjoy it. If you've never played cleopatra's fortune before, get another version. This is probably a horrible introduction. I ended up putting "yes" for recommendation on the assumption that this is such a niche game, that most people looking into it would, like me, have played another version first and is either looking for a PC port for convenience or wanted the mystery mode that didn't appear on the arcade version. I also wouldn't pay full price for this. It was just kinda slapped together and feels very unpolished. I feel like I probably would have had a better impression and experience with another version, even if there were fewer features.

A decent version of my favorite falling block puzzle game, but definitely not the best version and it has some bizarre issues. Such as being entirely in Japanese despite an official English version already existing. This makes navigating the menus and completing Mystery Mode much more difficult when you don't understand the language and can't read the clear conditions. This is especially bizarre considering the game was previously released in English on the PS1. With that said, this is still the Cleopatra Fortune you (hopefully) know and love: A clever little falling block puzzle game with some fun mechanical twists and a great style that oozes charm (thanks in no small part to its cute mascot character who cheers you on while you play). If you're a fan of the genre and a newcomer to the game then this is a decent point of entry, though I recommend checking out either the original arcade version or the PS1 version first.

Cleopatra Fortune is one of my favorite puzzle games, and I think you should play it. I think it's an incredible game with a lot of interesting layers both the solo arcade mode and the versus mode. This version isn't the worst, but it's also far from the best and has some issues. I recommend you play it, and if you have no interest in purchasing a second hand copy, this is probably your best bet. However, I do have an incredibly long series of issues with it, and would like to let you know that the Playstation version is still broadly available in America for like, under 20 bucks, sealed. It's basically a reheated Saturn iso with very few additional features. I haven't tested it against every controller, but it does have the option to remap controls, and remapping is surprisingly quick and easy. All the quirks of the Saturn version are here, like the deafening sound effects, the retuned versus damage, the puzzle mode...It's *functional* in English but some things have gotten lost: specifically, the language in the in-game manual is confusing or incorrect, and the clear conditions for the various puzzle stages are notably not in English, which is going to make some levels very confusing. Notably, depending on how and when you load the game, the audio is emulated incorrectly, and causes the music to be played choppy and slow, while sound effects are played half a second too late, which is kind of irritating. I don't know exactly how to reproduce this bug, but since it happens roughly a third of the time I launch the game, it clearly isn't something too hard to do. Arguably this port's best feature is the savestate and rewind features, which you should use to practice counterstopping...but this is also a feature users had access to in an emulator. Basically anything that required City Connection to do any work on the game itself did not happen, so there's only one rotate button (despite it being a common romhack for games like this), and no leaderboards here on Steam, or one operated by City Connection. There's no Caravan mode, but since the counterstop can be performed in under five minutes, I suppose there's no reason to include it without actually addressing the counterstop in the first place. There's no netplay!!! For versus!!! Even though you can do that!!! On the internet!!! Right now!!! For free!!! As a turbo megafan of this game, it's been a bit of a disappointment, but if this is literally your only way to play, it'll do in a pinch. I suppose this is probably the most convenient way to play CF in person at home or in a tournament setting without buying aftermarket software and hardware, but given the ongoing pandemic, this was not an urgent problem for people playing and competing in CF.
