Amazing game, not too much content yet, but combat is intuitive and feels amazing, replayability is very good

Pretty good game so far (early access). But I really miss the steam cloud function. It would be good if the developers added this for exchanging game saves between individual devices.

Fantastic game! The visuals, soundtrack, and mechanics are all stellar. Great solo experience and even better while playing w/ friends. The fact that it is endlessly re-playable is just icing on the delicious game cake. Can't wait for the finalize version.

Criticals and alterattacks are absolutely mandatory. Failure to use them will just mean failure; the weapons hit like wrapping paper tubes on their own. I've never seen a game rely so heavily on these sort of gimmicks, and it kills the fun for me. You have to grind for hours before you can reliably use your favored weapon sets. Should you get stuck on a boss, good luck. You'll beat your head against it nonstop. The only way to (extremely slowly) reduce the difficulty is to keep throwing yourself at the same level, dying to the same boss unendingly until you can finally afford a few key upgrades that feel like they should have been available at the start. Taking any damage in a 20-fight window reduces your chances against that boss, too. Extremely unforgiving, extremely grindy, and not particularly satisfying.

A fun roguelike game with a nice soundtrack and plenty of diverse builds. I know it's just in early access, so there's a lot more to be done but it does look like a promising game that has more to build on. Fun characters and a great time to play with friends, would recommend!

!!Early access review!! With 20 hours in the game, having unlocked every achievement, and finished an Endless run into cycle 2 I would highly recommend this game. If you've ever had trouble getting into a rouge-lite because it might feel too punishing and too unbeatable then this is the game for you. It's just challenging enough to test your skills but just fair enough to let you progress. It's also adorable and has cute animals. I really like this game. It is very fun with friends and very enjoyable and challenging solo. It really makes you think about how your going to progress because of how many different ways you can play. However, I do not enjoy that in order to succeed at an Endless run past cycle one you seem to be forced into reflecting or duplicating ranged weapons that have critical damage. I wish melee, my preferred play style, was a bit more accessable late-game. Unfortunately because of how the system works it can often feel like getting into any form of melee is a death sentence. This game has a lot of development to look forward to and I am hopeful that the devs will give us quality updates in the futre. The controls are also very fluid and intuitive. I picked this up with a controller and I am dominating with it. I don't think I could do this with a Mouse and Keyboard, but you do you boo. The graphics and visuals of the levels are gorgeous. I would like a bit more variety in some of the levels as I have seen the same patterns and layouts numerous times, but I do enjoy the randomness of the seed generation. I think some of the levels need to have a few more secret spots scattered throughout them, but I have enjoyed what there is thus far. A huge note here: Windblown DOES NOT have the issue of diarrhea Christmas lights. All of the visuals happen and then clean up really quickly. You have to focus when playing Windblown and the SFX really allow you to do that. Things happen then they clean up and disappear. There is not a lot of visual clutter that gets in the way of the combat. The OST is fantastic. It jams, it blasts, it grooves. It is just SO GOOD. Listen to it on Spotify, you wont regret it. Gameplay: 9 / 10 OST & Music: 10 / 10 Level & World Visuals: 10 / 10 SFX: 9 / 10 Story: 9 / 10 Cute-factor: 11 / 10

Don't buy it for steam deck, the performance varies way too much on zone, at first it was mostly at 45 fps and the more you advance the fps drop more frequently. Game itself is good and fun but like it's mentioned, it's in early acess, it doesnt reflect the final game and it still has a long way to go it seems.
