Amazing game, even in early access. Combat and movement is at the heart of the game and feels super tight and polished. The coop nature of it is implemented really well, and your party can strategize builds and swap items around whenever needed. I've been playing with my wife, and although she is not as used to combat-oriented games, we've been having a blast with the coop. Each of our runs probably lasts just over an hour, and we just completed the hardest difficulty. Can't wait for more content/biomes/etc.

Super fun rogelike, lots of crazy potential for builds, plays well with single players or multiple. Surprising amount of content for an early access, extremely polished/stable too. Can't wait for more content

WOW! This game is awesome. A visual, audible, tactile pleasure. Something that can keep you fully entertained, immersed and engaged for hours; it certainly does for me. The combat is varied, snappy and tasty and satisfying; there's weapons and enemy scenarios that have both a low skill floor and a high skill ceiling to suit whatever playstyle you're in the mood for, and there are enough of them to keep me interested-- that's to say, players of multiple skill levels can be sure to have fun and both rapid and slow paces. Progression is satisfying as well, enough of a grind to feel challenging, enough resource drops to feel rewarding. It helps that each resource, boost, and boon are nice to pick up; visually and audibly. The sensory appeal might be a tiny bit overstated, but not by much I assure you. As long as you have good hardware, this game is sure to impress. And the game is incredibly enhanced by multiplayer! It's a ton of fun to zoom through the beautiful landscapes with a few pals trying your hardest to get as far as you can. It has some beautiful moments that're there if you slow down and focus on them, but the game can move pretty fast and it can feel discouraging to stop and enjoy them; that's to say that it's amazing to feel like you're on an adventure while in the game, but it kind of mostly feels like you're on a grindset mission, especially with hasty teammates. But Windblown is beautiful. The low(?) poly models are kind of off-putting and a little hard to take seriously, but the mood of the game is pretty deliciously toned to a ---uhh.. 'passionate and difficult adventure shared amongst friends,' if you take the time to look for it. Might be a bit of a stretch, but it's scratching that adventure itch for me. I personally really hope the devs add more story elements, cutscenes, and interactions. The game feels loaded with emotional potential, I'd love to see it fulfilled

I dislike roguelikes, but roguelites are many favourite genre of video game. setting checkpoints throughout the run that allow saving of resources up to that point are critical for me to enjoy the experience, and I thoroughly enjoy windblown. The first 3-4 runs were tough, but once you start to learn enemies' attack patterns, you are able to develop the skill required to consistently gain power each run. The coolest part of this game are the mechanics of alterattacks and crystallize. I won't spoil it for anyone, but they are a blast to experiement with. If yuo like roguelikes and roguelites, you will enjoy this game. As soon as I saw that the developers of Dead Cells were releasing a new game I put it on my wishlist. They did not disappoint. Excellent game.

As a person who enjoys roguelikes very much, I can personally say this game is very fun. The combat for me is very satisfying and not too difficult but not as easy as playing with my eyes closed. Each of the weapons require a different playstyle to use effectively. The gifts and boosts are pretty balanced although I find myself picking +max health boost when it arrives but that can just be my inability to properly dodge. I haven't tried endless mode yet but I feel as though I'll enjoy it as well as the rest of the game. I can't stress enough that this game is still EARLY ACCESS and is still developing since many people like to forget about that. If you played Dead Cells before and you have a spare 30 bucks around, why not give it a shot? You just might like it as much as me.

This game is just okay. At the time of this review, there is not that much content or much replay value to be had. In only 25 hours I managed to unlock every item, weapon, and powerup, as well as clear the highest difficulty. Build variety is very limited as of now, especially if you want to play on the highest difficulty. Currently, I would say it is not that much worth it for the $25 asking price as you do not get much right now. Come back in 6 months or about a year to consider it when more content is there. While this game is just okay, I still will not forgive Motion Twin for cutting off support for Dead Cells just so they could market this game. If you do not know, Dead Cells, Motion Twins previous game, was worked on by MT for one year before founding and handing off development to Evil Empire, while Motion Twin who was a husk of their former selves, went heads down to work on Windblown. Evil Empire had plans for at least 2 more years worth of content for Dead Cells before Motion Twin told Evil Empire to stop working on Dead Cells just so they could get people off of Dead Cells to look at their new game and act as if the original developers of Dead Cells were working on Windblown when this is not the case at all. A substantial amount of content and more support was promised for Dead Cells before promptly being cut off life support just so the husk of current Motion Twin could market this game. This game is not a bad game, just lacking content. It is just very unfortunate that Dead Cells died with promises of more content just so this game could be marketed, which is why it kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth as well as other players.
